lumatek high par hps bulb $64 - http://www.ezhydroshop.com/lumatek-600w-hps-high-par-output-bulb/
Crap, that's $598.00 but you would still need ducting, tape, soil, pots, nutes and seeds.
That's pretty much what I run anyways and I love it - you could easily swap out the lumatek ballast for a cheap 1000w but personally I retired my crappy 1kW HTG ballast in favor of the 600w lumatek and haven't looked back.
Here is a 1kW digital ballast system with cooled hood for $240 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/1000-Watt-HPS-MH-Air-Cooled-Hood-Cool-Tube-Wing-Reflector-1000W-Grow-Light-Kit-/370557693071?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item950407bb72
whats going on here? who are you? and what do u do?$600 is a lot OR nowhere near enough.
I spent $100 on 5 2'x3' trays pumps fittings
hoses rez's
$50 on 1 gal pots
$75 on hydroton
$50 on aero bucket cloner
$30 on nutrients (Maxi Series from GH)
a HID light can be had for ~$200
etc..
Do more research and don't buy into the Indoor Growing Marketing Hype
why spend $55 on nutrients when a more balanced formula can be had for
$15?
First try and decide how you are going to grow for sure as that will dictate
what you will spend your money on.
For example
Good soil does not need a lot of extra plant nutrients so you probably wouldn't
want to spend your $600 on nutrients geared more for hydroponic applications.
no seriously who are u?1) Big Pimpin' hustla
2) Moses Lyons
3) offer decent advice, anything else is nunyasuchata
im mongo. why do u ask?who are you?

again Mongo, have a little class
and not ask a member who they are.
