Damn your journal dropa. I'm off to spend more money now, lol. Should be tearing up the maps of mw3 in an hour or so.

Beautiful looking plants. I'll agree with shrig... you got it going on bro. Humble or not.

Hey guys and gals. I'm a little confused right now and I'm not sure what to do. I know that removing fan leaves is a no no but this buku has got fans larger than my face and it's blocking light out to everything underneath. When you look at the plant all you see is fans and all the tops are trapped underneath the canopy. I'm just not sure how this plant will turn out if I leave these fans on.

I went through quite a few buku journals and YouTube vids and this plant looks nothing like any buku I've seen. Really I'm just blown away by these monster fans.

I could really use some input to see what you guys think about this dilemma I'm having. To prune or not to prune, that is the question.

Here's a load of pics to help y'all help me to make a decision.

Enjoy.

You'll love the air pots shrig and no worries man,I got enough rep.

How much longer are you veggin it mate?...............
I'm almost 10 days into flower brah and that's what worries me.

If your wondering why I'm still using my MH bulb it's because I'm experimenting a little. MH for the first two weeks into flower. Then I'm gonna switch over to HPS. Then maybe back to MH for the last week of flower.

I've heard/read some good results from doing it this way. So you know me I gotta see for myself.

Yeah I know, last thing I wanna do really. My only concern is, will those lower tops pop up through the canopy to get some light? Can't really tuck those leaves down because there so freaking huge.

that top down view is just absolutely gorgeous. Great job so far, don't change a thing!
Thanks for your input and those kind words man.

I would agree with DR Amb....I wouldnt prune.
Well I guess the verdict is in. I'll let it go and won't touch a thing. We'll just see how she progresses in the coming weeks I guess.

Thanks for all your input guys and gals.

:peace: and happy medicating. :eyesmoke:

Thanks for the update....My favorite collective that was a block away shut down 2 days ago. I go to my 2nd favorite collective and they were shut down too. Seems a lot of dispensaries around here are shutting down quickly. I would say within the last year the Dispensary Boom has peaked out and now its trimming down to solid legit collectives. What sucks are the monsters that try to come in a make a quick buck by putting a collective 2 blocks away from a school and screws it up for all other collectives...I might be rambling, very stoned and honoring VETS!!!

Peace

No problem brah just trying to spread the word. I'd give my left nut to live in a legal state. Hell I have to drive 27 miles one way just to go to my local hydro store. I bet you got several to choose from. I guess I should just be grateful that I even have one to go to.

Check ya later.

Been off this site for a long time. Decide to get back on as winter sets in. Wanted to stop by and check on one of my fave growers on the site. The new room is looking bad ass. And these new ladies of yours are looking even better than those you have produced in the past. Keep up the great work man!

Hey drags welcome back brother, it's been a long time. Good to see you tracked me down. S hows that bad ass grow room or yours coming along? If I remember right you had some pretty serious water damage and had to put it on hold. Got it finished yet?

I wish I did my man. That water damage took some serious damage. I had the wrong insurance, so I was sol and had about 30K in damage. I'm finally caught back up monetarily and saving up my bank roll again. I'm kind of glad that the water damage happened though. It gave me some great ideas for my room. I have it gutted right now and awaiting a clean slate. Funny thing is I don't know when I'll work on it though. I've had a lot of good things in my life happen. New job and my side work has kicked off pretty well. Have health insurance for the first time in 6 or 7 years. So with that being said. I'm saving up my bank roll again during the winter for the grow room. Not sure what will happen. I don't have probs with smoke save for waiting around for it to come here, but I sure do want to grow my own just for the joy of it. We'll see what happens. I'll have lots of free weekends during the winter. If you ever need an extra hand and some tools hit me up. Until then keep it rockin.

I want to hear some more details about the new space. What are your future goals for it? Are you going to add your fan floor design on this one too? Also you added those isolation hangers. I'm guessing this is to keep the sounds from upstairs also. Will you eventually throw some insulation and caulk between the floor joist above to help with sound control and better efficiency for your air movement? It looks really bad ass. I'm going to go look at your stuff again now with my coffee. Keep it rockin.

I'm not really sure as to any future goals for my room just yet. I might be leaving soil and going back to hydro for a bit just to mix things up. My dream is to set up an ebb n flow system, something like two 3x3 tables with a 600 over each table. I've always liked the idea of a lot of small plants vs a few larger ones. I've also considered an 8 site under current/rdwc system with a control tank. But right now I'm just enjoying what I'm doing and if any changes happen it won't be for a couple/few more grows.

As for the air floor design, sadly I do not plan on implementing that into my new space. From the looks of it I have plenty of air flow circulating around and through my plants. Although I have been considering building one maybe two more passive intake boxes. One to sit just under the breaker box and another to sit right in between. Also I might need to add another extraction fan to help pull more fresh air through.

Right now I have no problem with temps. The room was finished towards the end of summer so I have no clue what the temps will be like when the summer heat arrives. So I might need the extra air coming in to cool the room.

At first I wanted to insulate the floors to help dampen the sound but unfortunately the only place in the basement for me to build my grow room is located right by the breaker box and there are wires running everywhere along the floor joist. Not really wanting to mess with all that if you know what I mean. And yes you are correct about the iso hangers and I couldn't be more happy with them. All I can hear upstairs now is a slight hum of the fans. If you didn't know what I had going on downstairs you most likely wouldn't even notice the slight sound of the fans.

Well I think I covered all you questions bro. I got to get ready to do the final clean up on the leaves and the gutters.

Check ya later man.:peace:

Sounds like it's on track. A deterrent that I like to use for any possible sounds or vibrations is to have a small fountain around the entry of the home that you can turn on or have a motion sensor set to it so that if anyone comes to the door they will just hear the swoosh of the fountain instead of any fans or what not that might be running elsewhere in the house. Another bonus to with the fountain is that you can add a cup or 2 of freebreeze for extra smell good freshness. Something else I added in my home is I made a custom coffee table that has a fan and carbon filter inside of it. I have it set to run 5 minutes once an hour. It does really nicely as well. These things on top of my candles and incense, people always comment:"how does it always smell so good in here and you're a smoker?" Sorry was a bit off topic but wanted to get your brain juices running. Looks like also you have space to add additional intake in between your two doors by the laundry room. You have a good setup there too, because if the heat in the summer get's a bit out of hand, you can run a AC unit in that space and vent the ac with your dryer and have that room double as the lung room too for sure.

All excellent recommendations drags and sounds like a nice diy on the coffee table as well. I got plenty of room for improvements and I've also considered dividing the main flower room in half at some point. That way I could have the left end for veg the middle room for starting plants off in flower then the room on the right would be the finishing room. That way I could run perpetual and be harvesting every 4 - 5 weeks.

All in good time though. If I make any major improvements it wouldn't be till this spring or summer.
