BBG (Baisic Bagseed Grow)

The ferts probably aren't necessary and won't help much but at 1/10th strength they shouldn't do any major harm. Make sure you are truly diluting to 1/10th str - I always find it hard to dose accurately in small quantities so you might consider mixing up 1-5 gallons at a time even if you won't be using it.

i was going to mix it into a 1 gallong jug first. the directions say 1 level scoop (the MG comes with a dosing scoop) for a typical 1.5 gal watering can. the measuring scoop is 1.5 Tblspoons so its 1 tblspoon per 1 gallon of water. and 3 tsp = 1 tblsp so 1/3 of a tsp is about 1/9th strength in a 1 gallon jug.

Like gas said, don't know that it would help at this early of a stage? But sure couldn't hurt at that small of a dose...right? Interested to see how it goes so I can I apply it to my babies.

one of these seedlings is kicking ass, much bigger and more leaf formation so far. here is it compared to one of the average sized ones.



think i should top this one above now get 2 shoots growing? what happens to node development after you top? Ill mix up that nute formula and probally give it to a couple and leave a couple without that way i can see if theres a significant difference. definatly not going to give it to the biggest as i dont need to it is growing fine as it is. lets see the true power of Miaracle grow LOL

ok so i topped some of them and left some alone, nuted some and plain water for others.

heres what i did. i have all 7 labeled A-H

A: Plain water, no top
B: Topped + nutrient solution
C: Plain water no top
D: i overwatered this plant and it is recovering so no water or nutes but i did Top it.
E: Plain water no top
F: Nuted, no top
G: Disposed of yesterday, wasnt growing and keeping up with the rest.
H: Topped + nutes

Have you topped this early before? I always seem to see topping done around the 3rd-4th node.

nope never have, actually only topped once before on my last grow i topped it once and left it be when it was about 1.5 ft tall. will see what happens, i have some before pics of all 7 and i will post the after pics probally wednesday when i pick my 4 im going to keep so we can do a comparison to the topping and the small dose of nutes and see if there is any substantial difference with 2 days growth.

nice man your set up nice and simple. i had one like that. i had a wood frame and white hard posterboard as the walls. i had my first grow in that but ran in to a big problem that didnt let me finish her. the light fell one night and was on her for a while. after that happened i found a night stand that someone threw out, it was kinda broken but all there and i just needed that outside pretty much. so now i am growing in that and love it, my closet is less bright since its thick black wood. so stay on the look out if you go to friends apartments or something might find something getting throw out thats worth keeping. that first plant i had that didnt finish was a bagseed and turned out to be a female. so maybe you will have some luck and get a few females. my plant now is about 3 weeks old an auto ak feminized

you should paint the inside white, black is a horrible color as it absorbs all kinds of light

Update: plants are looking good, the small nutrient feeding i gave them dosent seem to be having negative effects but still too early to see if it had any significant posotive effects.

ended up having to replace the water bottle with a milk jug because i put too much yeast and sugar in and ir was bubbling up through the tube.

going to save a little money by doing a DIY refelctor https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/232568-beercan-cfl-reflectors-cheap-easy.html for my next 2 lights. also going to mount them in the cab permanently once i start to fill up the scree but thats a few weeks away.

the seedlings are looking like the will be ready for thier new home on wednesday, depending on how the ones i topped look in a couple days i will probally keep 2 non topped and 2 topped and start the LST training around the rim of the containers.

Holy cow!!! That's some serious lst! Hopefully we can get our girls into some bondage! I'm thinking ill do the home-made C02 generator. How much yeast/sugar/water did you use in the 20oz bottle what was the ratio of the 3? I'll obviously use a little less than you did! Update for my grow coming later this afternoon!

i used a whole package of yeast and about 4 tablespoons of sugar. filled the bottle up 1/2 way. i would suggest using a galon jug or maybe a 3 liter soda bottle. also look it up and see what others suggest cuz im no pro on it. I do know gastanker does a homeade Co2 so he may be able to help you more than me.

Everything sounds like it's going well. For DIY CO2 go with larger containers - minimum of 2liter imo.

Here is my blurb and the calculations I did for a friend based on a 4x4x8' grow room.

Here is the basic forumla
X*.0013 = Y
(Y/8.7)12*1.1=Z
X=cubic feet of grow room
Z = amount of sugar in pounds used per day

So if your room is 4x4x8 then you would want to use a total of 0.25lbs of sugar per day. You should either use a 4 gallon container or four 1 gallon containers for this. Start off with 1lb of sugar per container (or 4lbs in the 4gallon) and add an additional 1/4lb per container every 4 days (or 1lb in the 4gallon).

Ideally your room would be sealed for this but if you cannot control the heat then make sure your vented hood pulls from the very top of your cab - CO2 is heavy so if you pull from the very top you'll hopefully be removing just the hot air and leaving the cooler CO2 at the bottom - I would also recommend putting your vent fan on a dimmer so that as little air exchange as possible is going on. Of course if your canopy is only 4' high then you can probably cut the amount of sugar in half as long as you are directing the CO2 to where it needs to go.

At night I encourage you to increase ventilation as the plants prefer O2 than CO2.

once my plants get a bit bigger i will increase the amount of solution im using but for now i dont feel it is 100% neccesary. i stop my fan when the lights go out to save a little bit on electric and to help prolong the life of the fan. they arent made to run 24/7

also i am blowing outside air into the cab as my lights arent a heat issue i just want the circulation.
