Cheers for that. Yeah it's a shame higher wattage CFL's are so fking expensive in this country haha.Looks good so far man, cool to see another uk grower XD
check out the thread in my sig if you got a few minutes, got a nice scrog going and I use cfls too!
Good luck I'll keep stopping by see how it's goin!
I got 6 20W red spectrum cheap of ebay. And I managed to get hold of the 6400K from some warehouse but they're only 15W. quid each so it was decent. Want some 25W ones. But yeah I noticed the 45W ones are fucking hugeeeee hahaHave a look at greens horticulture or basement lighting, that's where I get my higher wattage cfls from and they're 'reasonably' priced I suppose. Though the high watt ones are huge!
It seems a lot easier to get the redder ones, I got a shit load free from my energy provider ages ago lol
Have you tried b&q or wickes? Might be able to get a box of 20 or so watt ones at a reasonable price.
I only have 6 light fittings. Currently only 4 of the lights are close to the plant because they're quite spaced out, I have 3 6400K and 1 2700K within an inch of the plantYou should see the 300w cfls...
120w red should be alright for a 1st grow, and so long as the blues are close and evenly spaced you don't really need that much wattage
Getting more leavessounds good to me! I got 5 seedlings and 1 clone under 2x25w CFL's and they're doing fine until I get some 'Y' Splitters so I can have 4 blues (at some point)
You got any updates on your grow?
