Sometimes things do seem racist. There is pretty much the same issue in the UK right now that they're looking at passing legislation on. I was taught not to get people pregnant if I can't take care of the baby... If there is a good likely hood of getting arrested (if I'm a criminal), then I can't take care of a baby and shouldn't be getting people pregnant. I would hope the same logic follows on the females side as well.

first of all...if you have a baby born addicted to drugs you should either A. get charged with child endangerment/abuse...or B. have to get your tubes tied...same as if you are on public aid and have more than 2 children you should have to get your tubes tied or be cut off from public funding.

this is why we should have better sex education in poor areas. it costs a lot less to give a few classes than it costs to put a bunch of kids and the parents on welfare. show them the reality of how much it costs to raise a kid. show them that having kids and being on welfare isnt a smart decision because its a shitty life. give the kids heroes to look up to that came from their situation and succeeded.

i do think we should have welfare, but not for people abusing the system. those people will always exist, but i dont think its a good idea to take the programs away just because some bad eggs get in.

One such query: Who pays their bills?

A significant part of the answer, according to Early Show national correspondent Hattie Kauffman is -- taxpayers, in the form of welfare.

Kauffman and Laurie Allen, who escaped from polygamy, drove around one such community, in Colorado City, Ariz., and saw many mammoth homes built to accommodate multiple wives and children.

How the man of the house can afford to build such super-sized dwellings! The answer: He can't. He doesn't pay for them, you do.

As Allen explained to Kauffman, "What happens is a man marries one wife, she's his legal wife, then he marries ten other wives in the church, and all the other wives are, by law, single women, so they have all these children with him, and they all get welfare."

The more kids, the bigger the welfare check, Kauffman points out.

"Some of the women in this town have 26 babies," Allen told her.

And the women, Kauffman adds, have no choice. The fundamentalists believe a man needs three wives to get into heaven. And the wives exist for one reason: to make babies

Do:
Buy you children clothing including shoes.
Don't:
Spend all your money on Juicy sweat pants and Luis Vuitton purses or Nike shoes.

Do:
Get a legal job with benefits
Don't:
Sit at home smoking dope, go to jail, be a criminal

Move to an affordable area and buy a house (you can actually buy a house for zero down and pay less monthly than renting).
Don't:
