another random thought.....you evil conservatives will hold this up as the "norm" for welfare moms. i just drove by the local housing projects and there wasnt a single mom there with more than six kids. most only had 4 or 5. and most only had 3 different fathers, who dont work either cuz they have "social anxiety" syndrome......so whats the big deal?

Sometimes things do seem racist. There is pretty much the same issue in the UK right now that they're looking at passing legislation on. I was taught not to get people pregnant if I can't take care of the baby... If there is a good likely hood of getting arrested (if I'm a criminal), then I can't take care of a baby and shouldn't be getting people pregnant. I would hope the same logic follows on the females side as well.

first of all...if you have a baby born addicted to drugs you should either A. get charged with child endangerment/abuse...or B. have to get your tubes tied...same as if you are on public aid and have more than 2 children you should have to get your tubes tied or be cut off from public funding.

this is why we should have better sex education in poor areas. it costs a lot less to give a few classes than it costs to put a bunch of kids and the parents on welfare. show them the reality of how much it costs to raise a kid. show them that having kids and being on welfare isnt a smart decision because its a shitty life. give the kids heroes to look up to that came from their situation and succeeded.
i do think we should have welfare, but not for people abusing the system. those people will always exist, but i dont think its a good idea to take the programs away just because some bad eggs get in.

If you are on welfare:
Do:
Buy cheap food - beans, rice, pasta, bread, peanut butter, potatoes, and fresh fruit - healthy, high caloric, extremely cheap (aside from the fruit).
Don't:
Buy all meals at fast food restaurants (McDonalds, Popeyes, KFC, Taco Bell), spend the food money on 40s/Cigarettes, bags of doritoes.
Do:
Buy you children clothing including shoes.
Don't:
Spend all your money on Juicy sweat pants and Luis Vuitton purses or Nike shoes.
Do:
Get a legal job with benefits
Don't:
Sit at home smoking dope, go to jail, be a criminal
Do:
Move to an affordable area and buy a house (you can actually buy a house for zero down and pay less monthly than renting).
Don't:
Live in an area you cannot afford. Pay nightly for a single room at a sleezy hotel for 13 people.
