In the event of martial law, what will your first actions be?

Dude, whet shtf, NOWHERE on the North American continent will betruly safe. Montana/Idaho are better than others, but it's gonna be hell either way.

A couple places in South America are looking promising though.
I'm saving up to move to Costa Rica.

My second plan is a country whose government who allows commercial growers. Anyone know which ones allow them, I don't care if I have to bribe law enforcement. If I'm getting out of Dodge, I need to finally be able to get paid for what I know. I have a good life here, as of now, so selling would be a waste for the risk.

Imo you may want to reconsider living in Costa Rica. It has 4 volcanoes and 2 are active. I dont think it would be the best place to be especially if nibiru is really coming around
The United States has three of the world's six supervolcanos. If just one of those errupted, the whole US is toast.

The speed the Earth and Nibiru travel by December of 2012, we'd be able to detect the gravity signature. With the sheer number of amateur astronomers out there with the capability of detecting such an object, even if it were dark matter, it would have been on wikileaks by now.

Well in the case of a massive explosive eruption I would be more likely to survive being that I'm 3,500 miles from all of them. You would be 3,200 miles from new mex and be sittin on 2 yourself. Plus its on edge of the ring of fire and on 14 faults.

Paraguay people, Paraguay

A republic with a small government that primarily stays out of almost all affairs of the citizen.
Peru is good also.

Peru? Are you all afraid of extradition?

Furthermore, how many of you speak fluent spanish? You do realize that making it all the way to South America AFTER martial law has been declared will be nothing short of a miracle?

Unless you have pre-planned your routes of escape (and cached supplies along the way), your chances of getting ANYWHERE are slim to none.

He's totally right, the borders are only unsecured now because they want them coming in as soon as they decide to keep us from trying to leave they will shut it down tight, it's their to keep us in.

You need to rethink this, lots of people speak English in peru, I have been there several times, not hard to get along. The hard part of getting to South America after martial law is getting out of the USA, the rest is easy. For me it would take approx 15 minutes to get out of USA and that is if they have all the borders locked tighter than a puckered asshole and all roads are blocked.

i a member of a group of close friends/family that have a plan in place if it kicks off tomorrow. And fleeing the country is in no way the plan.

My interest in South America is pre-emptive flight. Just hard to do with the family (wife and son) but they understand why flight is on the table and are supportive of whatever decision i make. i'm not what i would consider FLUENT in Spanish but having been born and raised in a predominantly Hispanic area with predominantly Hispanic friends i definitely know enough to get by. That's one of South America's advantages over other continents and countries.

So, let me get this straight ND, you think that just because you make it outside of the US with what possessions you care to carry (which, by your posts would be large amounts of silver/gold), and being unable to speak spanish, you would be okay?

Bullshit dude. The moment anyone saw your guero ass you would be toast. Furthermore, do you actually think that you wouldnt have gi-fucking-gantic target on yourself after news spreads that Martial Law was declared?

Laughable.

Not necessarily just the US. The NAU includes Mexico and Canada.

huh? Why would someone from Peru want to kill me? Declaring martial law in a country in no way makes all other countries attempt to kill its citizens. I think you know absolutely nothing on the subject.
