went and bought some velcro, wasnt cheap but i think it will be worth it.

my old man had one of them vinyl covers for a pickuptruck bed that he wasnt using, it is kinda weatherbeaten so i washed it and going to lamintate it with silver Duct tape, will work for reflective on the inside and give the pice of vinyl a bit more flexibility without worying about it cracking to shit. pics soon hopefully this is last mod to my cab till i can order a HID lighting system and set up a vegg flower room in there.

alright almost done.

this is a before picture

and here are some after pics

funny thing, the inside was supposed to be the duct tape and the outside was going to be black. but i attached the velcro to the wrong dam side so i gotta tape up the other side now as i dont want one of my walls being black

going to try and tape up the back edges of the cab for the leaks there and there isnt much im going to do about the leaks on the bottom as they are from the passive intake holes but im really not worried about light traveling up through holes on the floor

think a 400w HID light will be too much, obviously inline fan and cool tube would be purchased and used as well.

probally be using it on 4 plants at a time, will use my CFL rigs for veg side of the cab

and also would appreciate a reliable link for a entire 400w kit wich includes the cool tube, both MH and HPS bulbs....the works and is fairly decent priced.

What are the dimensions? I've seen people run 400w lights in 3x3x5 tents but I think that's considerably more volume than your cab. Even if you vent like nuts there is just going to be so much direct radiant heat. You could always get the 400w and run it at a lower setting if need be. Regardless you are going to need to vent both the cab and the light separately.

I'd run a 150 for sure bro. Too small a space for a 400, I think. That 150 would be perfect though. Supplement it with a few cfls too? Or you can just build yet another cab ;).! Like what you did with the tape and tarp shit!

dimensions are 16x21 inches and a little over 3ft tall

i think the 150w would be ideal much smaller fixture for my small cab, i can fit 4 small plants in there no problem.

lol my plants are like good, alright, not so great and terrible but oh well :)

i think i might actually have some deficiency's rather than burns, took a good middle pot sample of some soil and soaked it in some water and checked PH and it was really low. going to flush em tomorow.

How low? And what is the pH of the water you use? Generally passing more water through a substrate will make it more acidic unless you have a bunch of acidic water soluble nutrients in the soil.

the PH of my tap water is around 6.8-7.0

i let cup of soil sit with water in it and it tested around 5.6-5.8

i only have the paper test strips for a fish tank so accuracy isnt the best

i let the cup sit for around 4 hours
