did you FIM or just top? I really want to have a good looking scrog this run and any info will be helpful.

i just realized, are you in sonoma?
I topped once after I had 6 nodes on each plant then I trimmed the bottom 2 nodes off. So that have 4 main branches in a N.E.W.S. Formation. I'm nowhere near Cali, plan to be in a cpl years tho.
I'm making a nute purchase. Gunna pick up some cal/mag and I'm thinking about trying the nute "final bloom". Suppose to apply it the last 2 weeks before a plant finishes, helps the plant put on that last bit of weight. Some claim 30% difference in final weight.. Thoughts?

dude, i recommend using overdrive by advanced nutrients to help bulk up your stuff. it says on the bottle that you can use last 2 weeks but i use it the last 4 weeks and get better results.
Is advanced nutrients organic? I'm trying to stay as organic as possible.

nope, you can try bioboost from canna. it is expensive but amazing. it is a godsend for organics
So I snapped this last night. The tops are coming up and filling out nicely. I cut loose the top layer of scrog but still have it around the plants and the bottom layer is still in place; however, I did make some snips in my scrog here in there where I felt would be beneficial. It is difficult to add up the number of colas present; I'm guessing somewhere around a hundred. I wish the colas were all about 4-6 inches taller in the scrog but can't always get what you want. Any type of feedback is wanted! Please.. lol
I actually already picked up some "Final Bloom".. So i think i'm gunna give it a try.. I'll let you know if it's worth a damn

Well I actually took the scrog off tonight. I have a ton of colas but so many are not alot taller than the scrog so I decided to remove it to allow deeper light. The main reason for the scrog was to make as many colas as possible, which I accomplished now I just want them to get taller! Which I think removing the scrog will accomplish, I know the scrog helps hold up the heavy colas up, but I believe I will stake the ones that lifted need up and just finish scrogless! Any feedback on me removing my scrog will be welcomed, ill snap a pic of it tomorrow.

my friend was doing scrog style too, but it was a pain in the ass. so he did the same. took off the net and just staked all the colas up instead

Hello, plants are looking pretty good. I would definately go a little heavier on your nutrients containing nitrogen. They looked a little light which means your not quite to the optimal growth rate. Dont be afraid to stray away from the "normal" nutrient formulas as every strain will have different needs. One reason you should try to grow the same strain at once, but you gotta find the right strain.
As for cutting your scrog to let the colas get taller, the growth period of flowering is only the first 2.5 - 3 weeks. I've heard usually 18-19 days. So if you are already past that point in the flowering phase, they are not getting much taller till you cut em. They now think its the end of summer and they are going to focus all their energy on those flowers. They think winter is coming so they ramp up their growth towards reproducing....unpollinated flowers. Any time I used a scrog and it started getting pushed up, i adjusted is because as you get into the final weeks with all those colas, they start to get heavy on the ends and fall over. But hopefully they'll all help keep each other up.

Hey thanks for the response. I understand about the plant not growing anymore, but my scrog was holding alot of colas down and not letting them get very tall. It was a minor mistake in my first scrog, but once I loosened the scrog netting off the plants that were being held down all rose a couple inches. I know its only a couple inches of more bud growth but hey we'll see if it pays off. A couple weeks ago I hit the plants with alaskan fish fertilizer 12-0-0.. Think they could use another dosage. The cheese which is the back one in the picture is about 4 weeks away from being done and a very lush green, think I may avoid giving it the N but the other 3 I will give it some. Thanks for the advice! Have any more advice feel free to keep it coming. I just ordered a 50 pint dehumidifer. My daytime humidity is 47% and my night time humidity is always higher than that so I figure I best get one just to be safe. Thoughts?

Yes! I would never let the humidity over 50%. I grew in a motorhome for a year a number of years ago, the humidity in there general ranged 45-55%. You could see strands of mold begining to grow if you looked at the buds under a microscope. It wasnt visible to the eye, and the plant seemed to smell ok. Just knowing that mold was developing on the buds grossed me out. You would be suprised though how many growers deal with mold. I dont have humidity problems now. Generally 25-35%. Which is a little low, but I will not try to raise it at all. It does make my garden more prone to infestation, but I spray every few days for prevention.
But yes get that dehumidifier in there, I've always had better smelling stuff at the end product when the humidity has been on the lower side.

Well my damn white widow hermie'd on me. I thought about leaving it in there to finish but didn't wanna screw up my others especially the tangerine dream. So I harvested it last night: here's some pics trichs were mostly clear to milky. I'm pissed but that shit happens. I'm thinking it was a genetics thing. My plants aren't stressed, nor has any light leaks ever occured. Btw got that dehumidifer in works like a charm!
