Ok so...in my past recent weeks/months everything about my life has changed. I wouldn't say I'm living the ideal life right now in a north dakota oilfield man camp, but I've never made $2500/wk before this. It was always 9-10 bucks/hour, 12 at most.
so my bank account never had much of anything beyond $500-1,000 bucks at a time
Yesterday I went to the branch of my bank where i opened the account and requested a $5,000 withdrawal... $2,200 to pay my father for the car he bought me last summer when i was broke and bummy but first I wanted to stop by the coin shop with some "bait" to get him interested in offering me a low bulk-rate premium on silver bullion or coins. Anyway, I was a bit shocked at how startled the bank teller sounded and even said I should call ahead before making a withdrawal of that amount in the future.
Seriously? This is the USA...our currency has been in steep decline for some time. $5,000 is a lot of hard-earned money to me, but in this day and age it's really only a few months basic living expenses
