If you can post a picture of the node site we might be able to tell if its female. I have a female afghan kush plant right now that is about to enter flower. From the picture I saw I agree it just looks like new growth, can't tell the gender, although I hope its a lady for you!

the way i germed 2 bagseeds was:

i folded them into a damp(not dripping wet) paper towel,i then put that paper towel in a ziplock baggie and sealed it,then from there i put it in my dresser, both germed.

i didnt want to grow them i was germing them for my cousin, but he didnt end up wanting them so i had forgot about one and it shot out its first 2 leafs in the germ process lmao.(in the dark ziplock folded paper towel)

im ordering some seeds in january,do you think i should apply this same paper towel method?

now im sstuck with a bagseed plant that came from a purple bud

oh and after it germed,i put it straight into soil, watered it and then put it under the T5,which was high above. i dropped it down later.

i didnt know to wet the soil first.

@mak - if you didn't wet the soil first its not a huge deal, but give ur seed a few more days yo break the surface because it will be buried deeper so itll take more time to find the light and grow to it. Otherwise, the paper towel method has always worked to about a 95% success rate for me so I usually use it, some people might tell you otherwise, but if you have a way that works with seeds, why mess with it if it works? Alot of people's success/lack of success with the paper towel method comes from where they live. If its a cooler climate or if its a super dry place, so if your living in some places ull have great success, otherwise maybe not so.

I've heard of 12/12 from seed :) how much less yield are we talking though?
There's a thread on here devoted to 12/12 from seed grows. The original poster just grew a plant that yielded over 400 grams. It was so dense he had to throw away like 150 grams because it rotted/molded from buds being mashed together & not being able to breathe. Any yield difference should be fairly proportionate to the amount of time you are cutting out of the equation. Say a 90 day total growth cycle, 30 days veg then 60 days flowering, vs a 12/12 cycle that would run about 60 days. You are talking maybe 33% difference. Maybe. I see plenty of guys get great yields off of 12/12 on here. My first go around with it this time probably isn't going to yield too big, but if you do it you can get good results. Just do a search for info.

nah... just have a thermometer check the temps at tops of the plants that they dont get hotter than 30 C's and they'll be fine ;)

id say maybe 15-20 cm should be fine but its all dependant on the temp on where you can keep the lights
With any fluorescent light you need to get it as close to the plant as possible. 2-4 inches would suffice. Just monitor the plant for growth so it doesn't touch the bulb & burn.

OMG thanks i read "rombomb420" comment and i cry'd inside :( i have 2 Big Bud and 1 Afgan Kush (the one in pic) ) the big bud are Fem but the Afgan is not ill give it a few days and see if theres any Pistils, please be pistils :)
I'd keep an eye on that thing, looks like it's ready to grow balls any second to me.

Sounds like good genetics. Sour diesel & blueberry for taste & the kush crossing for potency.

Yea, I mean sadly if it doesn't look good, there is a chance your instincts are right, but sure throw up a pic and we'll try to help you figure it out.
