Well basically the point i was trying to make was that you water the plants when they need watering. There is no standard schedule to watering. It depends on your plant, your grow room, your medium, your environment. basically that if the situation requires it, then watering every other day will not kill your plant as suggested, the plant needs what it needs, and if that is watering every other day, then that is what it is. (it is vague at first but the best manner to water a plant is to get accustomed to the weight of a wet and a dry pot, you'll rapidly get a feel for it to the point where you can nudge it with your foot and know if it does or doesn't need a watering).
For death overnight, i would say there has to be a very serious issue, like drowing it in bleach of a bottle of nutes etc, any time i've ever encountered an issue there's always been a few days to save it. The only time i've had rapid deterioration was when the plant had already been dry for a week, and then one night it just drooped, i got it back, but i had been fully aware of the chances of the plant failing, i was just having a to hell with watering i'm getting stoned week
