How is it possible that over night all the fan leafs dried up and look dead? It is in FoxFarms soil and I water every other day. the plant is a Wonder Woman and it was about a foot and a half tall. It was looking good then the next day when I checked on it I found a plant that looked dead. has this happened to anyone? on another not I keep getting these little bugs in the soil, I did all the research on pests but can't find any that are in the dirt. thanks for all the help!

maybe root aphids, or fungus gnats, if you post a pic of the plant i might be able to help. but wetering everyother day WILL kill it.. just fyi they need less water, like 1 inch per week. thats like 4-6 cups A WEEK!!!

Over night death in soil? Leaves me to wonder what happened as well. Like SF said, pics and much more info is needed...which FF soil, nutes, temps, ph, rh etc etc. Pics of the critters, estimated depth of infestation, in soil or on the plant. etc Good Luck!

Don't be daft. The plants need as much as the plants need depending on the grow, i mean you odn't even know what pot size he is using. My plant will drink upto 30L of water in a week.

Well basically the point i was trying to make was that you water the plants when they need watering. There is no standard schedule to watering. It depends on your plant, your grow room, your medium, your environment. basically that if the situation requires it, then watering every other day will not kill your plant as suggested, the plant needs what it needs, and if that is watering every other day, then that is what it is. (it is vague at first but the best manner to water a plant is to get accustomed to the weight of a wet and a dry pot, you'll rapidly get a feel for it to the point where you can nudge it with your foot and know if it does or doesn't need a watering).

For death overnight, i would say there has to be a very serious issue, like drowing it in bleach of a bottle of nutes etc, any time i've ever encountered an issue there's always been a few days to save it. The only time i've had rapid deterioration was when the plant had already been dry for a week, and then one night it just drooped, i got it back, but i had been fully aware of the chances of the plant failing, i was just having a to hell with watering i'm getting stoned week :D

i wonder every other day :)

though i guess it depends on the stages of your plants and how much they are drinking, how big the pot size is,and how much water you are giving each time..

and other things such as your mediums ability to hold water.

interested in the pics, never heard of a plant healthy one day and dies overnight,if you have bugs it may be the reason but still...

it does sound like the roots were eaten up but idk about over night.

Sorry bro, had to run yesterday. A dry pocket in your soil looks like it's getting water but there is soil/root that never got wet...???? just a thought

In the botanical world its know as an antagonistic situation...and GG have you fed them anything other than what the medium has to offer? By the pics and the fact the major damage seems to be more concentrated at the top of plant I am thinking it got nutrient nuked.....
