As for testing each seed, that's utterly silly: They would have to come in batches, at least all legal plant seeds are batch processed..
You have, quite literally, zero understanding of how any of this works. Seed sellers (Attitude or whoever) receive seeds in full, sealed, pre-packaged packs of 10 (or 5 or whatever) from the breeder. The same packs they are selling to you. They don't receive them in huge batches. They do not package the seeds. The breeder does. The breeder then sells these packs to wholesalers or to the seed bank themselves. What you are suggesting is akin to an electronic shop receiving a delivery of 1000 Playstations from Sony and then opening all of them and using them for two months to see if they work properly.

A seed-bank that doesn't test viability has NO quality control system in place. It's like designing cars then selling them, without even testing to see if they'll roll..
Attitude (or whoever) don't breed, manufacture or "design" the seeds, so this is a nonsensical comparison.

Quality control is the reason we - as customers - in any democratic society can purchase a toaster, a stereo, iPod, iPad, Laptop - whatever it is, and know with relative certainty that the item will do as advertised. If it doesn't function as it's supposed to, you get a replacement.
Is it illegal to turn an iPod on? Again with the meaningless comparisons. It's more like buying a balaclava and then writing to the manufacturer because it fell off your head while you were robbing a bank....."Dear sir, sorry to hear you had a problem while committing an illegal act with something you purchased from us, thank you for explicitly telling us about it, we are delighted to openly assist you in continuing to break the law with our products and replace your item for free".

Well after 2 failed orders from tude with stealth gauranteed shipping and to find a empty box in 1 and the other never made it to me,and attitude will not do anything about it????I will not be using them again,they have took me for almost 200 bucks and left me with nothing but a bad taste in my mouth.I have used the tude many times with no problems till now.Now I will have to find somewhere else to get my stash.All I have for my 200 bucks is a empty seed stash and a empty wallet.
They used to be great loved the stealth shipping but something has changed at the tude,and not for the better either Im afraid.
So for all you that continue having good luck with them great I wish you all the best,as for me Im looking for a new supplier.

Amazing. And how specifically do they do this if operating from a country where it is illegal to germinate seeds? And how do they test the seeds; by removing two or three from each pack and growing them? How do they sell a pack with two or three seeds missing? And surely if you are testing one seed then you have to test *all* seeds; would you like them to grow all of these seeds into plants, then magically convert the plants back into seed form afterwards?

Have you thought for even the tiniest second about the logic of what you are suggesting? Or the legality? Jesus Christ.

You mean to tell me Jesus Christ is running a seed bank?

I recently received my 1st order from Attitude. So far my experience has been more than pleasing. My package arrived (somewhere in the U.S.) within one week of my order and was clean and professional, no signature required. I only ordered 4 seeds and got 1 freebie with it....didn't want to spend too much in case a problem arose. I germinated 2 of the seeds so far and did so directly into the soil and it's been 6 days and the seedlings are now 1-2 inches tall so I have no complaints. I'm doing a side by side of 3 bag seed and 2 of "Pure Strains"...I'll have to wait and see to let you all know if they turn out fem! With any large company, you will have people who are dis-satisfied in some way, but Attitude clearly states that if you mention germination, they will cut you off! In the UK it's legal to handle the seeds but only becomes a crime upon germination....so if you have an issue with your order you must find a way to convey that without implying germination....like stating that your seeds were damaged in shipping. From what I have heard, the reps at attitude are very helpful and will do all they can to keep you satisfied, including re-sending an order if it has been intercepted....which they can easily see when tracking the package. Sry I'm rambling cause I'm baked but I just wanted to throw in my experience so far. My advice.....give them a try ;)

Translation: You can't find out how viable the seeds are without opening the pack, so once you do, we're in the clear! Sucker! :D This one line makes most returns impossible. YOu can't find out anything ABOUT the seeds, without opening the packaging, and once you do: Thy don't have to accept it as a return.


  • Please pay the return postage and send back by recorded delivery so you have a proof of posting




Translation: Even though we arsed-up your order, we'll exchange your pack for another - ONLY if they're unopened. As long as you pay full secured delivery to the other side the world, and don't mind waiting another 20 days to find out if the next pack is actually the correct one. If your seeds have been opened - EVEN BY US - again, don't bother, sucker.



  • Postage will not be charged on replacement/repair of faulty goods




Well, that at least, is something. But like we've already established: If they've been removed from the breeders packs, you won't even GET to this clause of our policy, cos we won't refund dead seeds, coz you opened them.


  • If on receipt you are not happy with your goods please take the following steps:
    Complete a return form stating the reason for return and enclosed with goods and send back within 14 days of receipt.
    Goods must be returned in the same condition as they were received.





This is only an option for those with breeders packs UNOPENED as we stated above, in the very first clause of our disclaimer: We'll refund the seeds, ONLY if they're unopened, and in their original breeders packs.

So basically, you're covered if they send the WRONG *breeders pack(s)*, and if they fuck up the address and it ends up going to someone elses house. BUT, if you DO want us to chase up your missing package, we'll have to tell the Postal Service what was in the package, and thus: You're incriminated, and yet again, disarmed. Pronounce that you have illegal seeds you've smuggled into the country, or just drop it: Attitude is covered :)

The very first line of that disclaimer, says everything you even need to know about their policy. They'll replace seeds at *their discretion ONLY*, and I've read dozens of people yarp-on about this return policy, over and over again. At their discretion, AND ONLY if the original breeders packs remain UNOPENED. I should take that to mean that stealth packaging is regarded as 'opened', even though it was them who opened them.

If the entire planet lived in the UK, that'd be a great policy. But in countries where it's illegal to even possess seeds, let alone import them, the customer usually gets fucked.

Almost: This kinda post can be found in every forum like this on the net, and yeah bla-bla, he COULD just be trolling or he COULD be from another seedbank, but I highly doubt it. Since every single negative post about Attitude, is flooded with an ocean of responses that usually read something like, "FUck off maaaan I luv my 'tude man don't pick on mah 'tuuude man you suck whinger.. Yaw a fuxin whinger dood! QQ some more loser!".

It's great that Attitude have a good rep amongst the customers that DO receive their orders, but there are so many of THAT kind of post mixed-in with the good, I don't know why you pro-tuders can't just look at it objectively. :) You don't OWN the seedbank, what do you care what other people think about it?

And for every 9 happy beaners, thre's always that 1-2 like this guy, who put in hundreds, got nothing, and were told to fuck off - basically.

And, since I've never even ordered from attitude, I really don't have any investment in it's positives OR it's negatives. Only thing interests me, are all the 'forgotten" or "shafted" customers, who have spent hundreds, and been told "too bad". I know how I'd be feeling if that happened to me.

For the record, I order my seeds through Sea of Seeds. There's almost nothing written mentioning SoS in forums overall, coz they're new, but I couldn't find a single complaint, other than one post stating, "It's been 2 weeks and they're not here yet" .. Obviously, it can take a bit longer than 2 weeks, and whoever that was, probably received their seeds by now.

Now for some SoS Fun-facts: SoS is in Croydon, London, England, and they ACTUALLY TEST THEIR SEEDS for VIABILITY! Their stealth packaging is so good, I had trouble finding the seeds myself, and they're - on average - about 10% cheaper than Attutide. They almost ALWAYS have a promo code that'll get you from 10-20% off, and their site actually works :)

Now, I'm no affiliate, so I'm not suggesting anybody uses SoS, I"m simply trying to discover why everyone throws so much money at a bank that's track-record is anything but flawless.

I plan on ordering for my first time from them! Instead of bitching you dont receive your order, heres an IDEA! If they dont send my order I will simply call my credit card company and say I never received my order and they will back charge Attitude and take it off my bill. So either way Im good to go! Problem solved, now quit your guys god damn belly aching.
And to JJ05....what kind of ass hole tries to back charge a seed company via his credit company??

I already addressed the 'testing' methods, and testing 1 pack out of a BOX/BATCH of packs, isn't anything like testing every seed in every single pack. It's the very MINIMUM they should be doing. How hard could it be to send a couple seeds at a time to the NLs for Independent testing, if they're too fucken lazy to do it themselves.
This is nonsensical. How many times do you read posts saying "I ordered a pack of ten seeds and four didn't germinate"? How would a seed seller KNOW this is going to happen without testing EVERY seed? Are you genuinely suggesting if a seed seller buys 100 packs of, I dunno, Tangerine Dream from Barney's Farm, they could test ONE of these packs and KNOW that ALL OTHER 99 PACKS are fine if the seeds from this ONE pack germinate?

I don't order from Attitude, incidentally, and haven't for years. Nothing in any of my posts in this thread would suggest I do. The issue here is people who don't really seem to understand the most basic of scenarios : if you order something, do something illegal with it in direct conflict with the terms & conditions of the website you have ordered from, that website will not replace it. Don't like it? Don't order seeds from there. Not complicated or difficult to grasp. But then given most of your replies seem to consist of being childish and insulting to anyone who has a different opinion to yourself, it does stand to reason you are struggling with basic logic.

Thanks for the heads up on SoS I went to the site and checked them out,I may have to pull the trigger on a order,the only problem is they dont have a single seed option,their only drawback.If single seed center had more choices on stealth shipping I would place an order thru them.Ive used single seed center in the past and never had any trouble except for the stealth thing,Im not convinced their stealth shipping is up to snuff,but they have always done what they said they would do.I have had a couple of orders get heisted by customs from them,I always got the gauranteed shipping so they replaced them with no problem.
Then I used attitude many times never had a problem with them till now.Im not a troll I dont work for any seed bank,in fact im unemployed atm.Its been a year or so since Ive ordered from the tude,and I was in need of some new seed stock so I thought I would go back to where I have gotten great service before ....The Tude,now all this has happened to me from them,Im not hating nobody,Im not really bitching either,Im just expressing what has happened to me with doing business,hoping to make other ppl aware that these things can and will happen,to whom tho is the question.
So if you use them and they havent stiffed anybody else but me hey thats great,but as for me well...............

And GSSucks this was not a rant directed at you lol I just started typing to Thank You for the heads up on SOS and well it just created a life of its own.
