Cloning from Fan Leaves

If it does work, cool! But why would you do that when you could take a cutting with nodes that will develop quicker? Thats like starting a fire with two sticks when you got a lighter in your pocket??? Doesn't make sense.

I've had a plant grow some nugs along the stem of a fan leaf up to where the blades started. This tripped me out. But it proves shit can grow there. (sorry no pics)

I did some research and found that certain strains will do this. In the Mandala web-site they talk about this as well as new sets of leaves, coming out in 3's instead of opposite sides. (got that pic)

If this is true, how long does it take to grow out 3 sets of nodes?
:peace::joint::peace:

To the rescue, sounds like you need someone in you corner with a little proof, for all the non-believers.
The man is right, and I'll bet he does have a degree.
I've done a lot of studying since I started growing.
I don't have a degree but I know alot about growing plants.
I've taken botany, chem 1 and 2. at the city college "want to be scientist". helps alot with understanding the plant processes and nutrients.

Anyway heres the proof goto this link "my favorite hydro store opened in 1961" click free. click brochures. look under planting/growing. click tissue culture cloning.

Foothill Hydroponics - Hydroponic / organic indoor gardening systems & supplies.

Satisfied?

forgot to mention click the "free" button in the horizonatal group, as the button in the vertical gruop does not work.

im like 10% shitty that i didnt know about this method of cloning HOWEVER-

every site i googled about tissue cloning culture(3) said that you need "A very specialized laboratory is required for tissue culture. All the procedures are done in a laboratory and special ventilated cabinet that is as sterile as an operating room" and it takes 8 fuckign weeks to get a seedling from it.

surely a person with a degree in botony would know this.

chalk this up to another misinformed chob trying to spread incorrect information and try to look smart(SUPRISE)

wow, i was hoping for pics too... Education isn't everything.. I have a Masters in Horticulture and the idea of a ready to plant clone in one week from this method is unbelievable. I'm not saying it can't work, but you would be better off trying to graft a top.

i think its alot of pissing around when ya can make a clone in 7 days with nodes!!!!!!!!!!
Not as much as dedicating some of your growing space to mother plants, or if cloning from continual finishing stock; slowing growth an lessening yield etc.etc.etc
Hmmmm 1 leaf=5 clones=no brainer

After getting so much grief I have decided that giving advice on this site is futile and a waste of my time so leave you guys cloning the way you like to!!!

i dont blame him, the guy came on here with the intention of maybe teaching people something new that could potentially help them, and got his ass blown off by people, if I were him, I wouldn't want to help anyone either.

There's treachery afoot
This thread has gotten way out of hand due to several close minded individuals who are self proclaimed specialists. Is this site not about growing, learning and sharing experiences? Why is it that when an intellligent individual posts a new and interesting technic, so many line up to discredit him? Personally I applaud the author for sharing his experiences and teaching us all something new. Why do you all doubt what you cannot comprehend and cannot see? When you all came to this site and posted your ideas, were YOU crucified for discussing different technics? Why not use this post to learn new methods and ask questions to expand your knowlege? For Christs sake get the hell off the guys back and feed your minds. Of coarse there are those who refuse to expand their world...I feel very sorry for your stupidity, but please do not ruin it for those of us who wish to benefit from what we do not know.

I agree a lot of people jumped his shit for that one. But its one of those.."Did you know"??? type things. If you have a masters in botany you should know that it isn't hard to keep a mother plant. If you don't have a set-up for one, you can just take clippings off your plants when you throw them into flower. I mean fuck, just because you can drive your car with only your feet doesn't make it a good idea.
