WHY did i get banned ??

Well this is Mugan... ok i kno you guys at RIU will ban this one too but what the hell, i just want an answer , i have been on RUI for a year now, i follow all the rules, i don''t even curse that much :shock: .. so today i come home log on and ...... banned for spamming , ban lift : never , no warnings .. you can all look at my latest posts WHY did i get banned :? :?
 
If you did not spam the site im certain it is an error. I've seen it multiple times. The spam filter apparently isnt the greatest and on occasion despite the global mods doing their best to catch it a person who should not of been banned will in error end up being banned. In past cases the accounts have been gone for good but contact rollitup asap still and let him know what happened and you never know. It's very unfortunate it happened. Although i have nothing to do with banning people i'd still like to say sorry about your account. We mods do our best but sometimes we or the programming make mistakes.
 
A lot of people with very high post counts have been banned just for saying something someone didn't like. Like what I just said, for example.
 
this happend to me mate a few months ago 1day it was fine then i got banned for nothing tried to contact riu but had not reply then a few days later my account was back on.. ask kevin murphy he helped get mine back on
 
Whats spamming? Ive heard that before. Can someone explain how someone could spam someone else so I dont do it accidentally. THANX.

There were people hooked up with vendors of certain grow systems forming "clubs" and giving away prizes, all paid for by the vendor. If anyone took issue with their product, they attacked him en masse. I approve of that kind of ban.
 
Technically, spam refers to email and any unwanted email is spam. In a forum, it means trying to use the forum for commercial purposes when that is against the rules.
 
Its a rollitup thing, beyond the comprehension of users....
Decisions by the Rollitup gods must not be questioned.
 
I was banned because in a thread about domestic terrorism, I said I was concerned that a large group of snipers like the DC snipers from 10 years ago, but smarter and better funded, could have ten 2 man teams moving randomly around the country and picking people off. It would shut everything down. I didn't advocate, I was saying we should be worrying about that instead of so much about airlines. I guess that made me a domestic terrorist.

I wonder if I'll get banned for saying it here?
