i heard good things about pakistani purple kush..PPK? BUT NEVER TRIED IT, i would really read around and see, your in cali right?? im a med patient, what about u?? we have a SICK choice of cuts AAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL around us i think youll soon chnge your mind about breeding, as it requires LOTS of high plant numbers all at diffrent stages... i like to bang a faty out then get another one in quick.. go to la, or san fran and check the dispensarys for plants... i didnt even need to go that far =)

Well, TBH my goal has been breeding for about 6 years now. I finally have the funds and the means. Yes I am a med patient living in cali right now. My problem with clones in not knowing everything about them, I personally want to know everything about my plants. Thats why I am looking for some killer genetics. I have a few books dedicated to breeding cannabis, and I think if I work at it another 5 years or so, I should have a strain worth sharing with the world. I want to start out with the basics, hense why I got northern lights. The dispensaries all around san fran and nor cal sell less than appealing cuts IMO. If I was ever to deal with cuts again, it would have to be through people I know.

Heyo, Figured I would do a midweek update. Routed all my wires in the room, installed a new 4 way light controller, and dropped the height of the lights down. Now, I will link a video at the end of this post, and it would be really cool if you could give it a quick watch. Think its like 30 sec. Basically I am only able to run 3xlights at 600 watts. I want to run all 3 at 1000 watts, but the heat gets up there. It was sitting at about 88 in there. I can route the intake differently, it is sitting at the back of my room and routed to the ceiling. Figured cool are falls, hot air rises. I didnt want a pocket of cold air stuck at the bottom of the room. So yeah, any questions, comments, critiques or tips on how to make better airflow and deal with the heat issues. I really dont have the money now to upgrade to air cooled hoods.

By increasing ventilation, do you mean adding a new extraction fan? Or do you mean changing the way the air interacts with each other in my room to get to the extraction fan? Either way thanks for the response.

I THINK WE NEED TO rethink the setup... take a collective look at ALL your equimpemt, and matbe we cant switch something around... whats it lookin like today?
athe ducting above your lights? is that fresh air in? or exaust out??
is the filter is just running scrubbing th room, or is that exausting out?
are you putting fresh air in above the lights, i believ it would be better to route it lower around the plant/pot level to create an upflow of air moving out thru the filter make sense> questions r comments... just shoot >>>------------->


on a side not, for 18 days of growth they are turning into little bushes!!!!, that vimeo... video site is cool im thinkin of siging up to post vids... lol

I moved the ducting that was above the lights to the left side of the room, under the MH along the wall. It hasnt changed temps in there too much, maybe lowered it by 2-5 degrees F tops. I will upload a video later on tonight. I really want to buy another ballast, and 4x air cooled hoods. It is really the only thing I can do right now, but my money is hurting. Ive spent a good 5-7g so far and my disposable income is limited. The intake is a 6inch inline fan routed to the outside air, through a hepa filter. The exaust is an 8inch inline attached to an 8x39inch carbon filter. I have 3 circulating fans mounted, 2 on the right side of the room on low, 1 on the left side of the room on high. Any suggestions on how to fix my heat problems would be great, I am running the 3 ballasts at 600w, but I really want to get 1000w for flowering. Thanks for your time, have a good one.

DREAMER... dont stress the temps even down 3-4 degrees are great after i read AND look at videos, you are CHERRY FUCKER, 75-85 lots of air movin, i mean the leaves need to be shakin man.. ARE YOU lookin at the comparison between the first vid and the last thats ALOT of new growth man!!?? take it from me WE are ALWAYS OUR OWN WORST CRITIC.. coming to dried herb, or optimal temps, or best plant food... whatever man WE CARE most fuckers dont, just thinkin herb grows on "TREES" and shit mannn...lmfao...

See, If I Put the lights up to 1000 each, the temps get up to 90, that is stressing the plant. Im sure they will get higher too over the course of like 6 hours. I will check tonight I guess. Stay up a bit late and figure out the temps. I threw them into 12/12 today for a few reasons. I am not happy with the strains that I got, the clones had a rough life, and they are showing preflowers under 24/0 for some reason. I havent stressed or shocked the plants at all, but I have no idea. So I am going to flower this run, they have had a good month of veg now. I want to purchase seeds online, the strains I am after are Sensi Seeds northern lights, Mosca Seeds C-99 BX1, and RP's OG18. See what all the fuss is about for the last 2 strains. I will update pics and vids tonight around midnight PST.

What he said, the best thing you can hope for is preflowering, really saves time and energy.

***WARNING*** Not cloning can lead to serious stress 5 weeks down the road :) Helpful info below. I've made every mistake possible, from too low pH to vegging to long in too small of pot to not trimming before hanging (trim before hanging please).

I have 2 plant stories (both on same grow) 1st I got an MK x SK clone that never really took off no real growth, I almost chucked it like you I threw it into flowering. A week and a half into flowering I couldn't figure out what plant was growing so well (thank god for plant tags), MK x SK turned out the most crystals I've ever seen and fell over on it's self a day before I cut it down (too much bud weight). I cloned it at 1 1/2 weeks into flowering and the clone is growing just as well (though slow veg must be in the genes).

Plant story 2: I got another clone called Tangerine, plant grew healthy and strong but I never found any online info on it or anything to tell me it was stellar so I was like oh well lets just flower this no worries about clones. 3 weeks... 3 weeks into flowering I cloned her because she was growing the prettiest pink hairs I've ever seen (the only pinks I've ever personally saw), it cloned but her clones still struggling to get jump started. This plant also ended up awesome, grows very vertical buds like a Sativa, nothing like it's Grapefruit genetics from what I've seen (I have Dynamite which is a 4x BX of Grapefruit).

If I take clones tomorrow, and throw them into 24/0 in the veg room, will they be flowering also and have to deal with that stress? It will have been the 2nd day of 12/12. I didnt want to clone, but theres 2 plants that I wouldnt mind keeping.

if your gonnna take clones do it NOW BEFORE they build up flowering hormones...you have about the first 5- 7 days of 12/12 to do this, if you take them after look at pic currently at on my thread to see what a clone looks like taken 2-3 weeks into flowering then revegged... it takes forever already been 2 months nearly, just tryin to save ya some time,

cloning IS EASER THAN GROWING take it from me, CAKE MAN u set ur room up... you can clone =):weed:

Ive clones many times before, just making sure I didnt have to deal with reveg, I know it sucks heh. So I am doing a midweek upload of the room, 1st day of flowering so. The ducting is moved to the middle left side of my room. It is sitting a bit lower temp wise, I will throw them up to 1000w now, takes 5 min to reset ballasts, then I will give a temp update in an hour or so. I really want to keep the room under 85, with luck. A video is being uploaded now, will edit post for link in a bit. Thanks for the comments, more people should chime in, good amount of views and only a few active people.

I setup a second veg room in a cabinet for now. The mystery indica is doing great, such a short little bush. Both sour flower clones are bouncing back slowly, 1 durban poison is doing GREAT, and 1 is okay.

So I woke up this morning, and my temps were at 88. So by keeping the 3 ballasts as 1000w for the night, it got the temps up to 88. Not bad, but still high in my opinion. I want to keep the room around 83. So 5 degress is what I need to get out of there now. I have my 3 ballasts in the room, If I move them outside, which I will do tonight once they turn on again, it should help maybe a degree or two. I may move the intake down a bit lower, to increase airflow upwards. Not sure, I have a video uploaded last night in my last post, give it a look and tell me what you think, thanks!

I read and watch everything I can find.... I remember a video (either Jorge or Nico of HT's) that said moving your ballast from your room can decrease your temps but up to 10 degrees, so if you get half that you're spot on!!

These were magnetic.. digi ballasts I would imagine only might effect temps by 5 degrees or so (I dont know)
