I had a Honda swap h22, but those things are impossible to pass smog in California, and just end up burning tons of money on it too.

normal civic now no mods, daily driver.

I have been looking at the Volkswagen TDI's though, I really like them good performance/torque and gas mileage combo, and they look pretty nice too (The Golf's).

Wtf Is A Ricer? First Thought I Assumed A Chinese Man. :P
Ok. I apparently used the wrong terminology. I was intending "ricer" to be a term used to describe anyone who takes what is generally consiered an economy car and adding performance parts such as turbo, nitrous, cold air intake, cakes, etc, etc, but it turns out that the term "ricer" generally has negative conotations. This thread is meant for people that tune out there imports with real perfromance parts and not just gaudy body kits, fart cans, and clear tail lights.

I am the former owner of www.yourhondasucks.com. no joke lol.
I'm an anti rice kinda guy.
I traded a 1994 Z28 with an alumin head LT1 for the Honda. My first car was a 1969 GTO. I've owned a 1958 Vette, a 1972 Vette, a 1966 Mustang Pony, and a 1967 Mustang with a blown 351W and TurboT10. Along with several other big block trucks. I needed something with a bit of fun and power, along with good MPG. :)

You needed something with power, so you bought a 4 cyl?
My current summer car is a 98 mustang cobra. I can post pics if you wish.

I'd love to see some pics. :)
I needed something that got better mpg than my Z did, but wasn't a total bummer to drive. A 200hp Civic seems like a good middle ground to me.

Thought this was interesting.

Canadian troops in the Korean War initially referred to the Korean labor and support unit providing their food, water, ammunition and other supplies as "G Company" which was short for the racist slur gook. They quickly became known instead as "rice burners," due to the Canadians' admiration for their Korean support unit's demonstrated strength and stamina in carrying 55 lb (25 kg) loads over rough terrain, sometimes in snow and ice. While dehumanizing the Koreans as machines that ran on rice was a form of contempt, it was condescendingly approved by the men serving at the time as an improvement over the word it replaced.[SUP][13][/SUP]
