Help me pull the triger on my perpetual sealed double rooms!?[CGE veg. vs. flower]

So, I have a sealed room that is basically ready to be wired up from my electrician friend. There are 2 rooms(both sealed) with a pocket door separating the veg. from the flower [6'x15' and 9'x15'].

I'm using a CO2 burner, dehuy, and a 1-ton(24K btu) mini split ac with 5 gallon bucket drip hydro system.

The main concern I have is if the 2 environments really need to be sealed from each other...I'm thinking that humidity is the variable factor between a vegitative stage and a flowering stage. Obviously you want less humidity durring flowering but is this lower humidity okay for the plants in the veg. room too. I wanted to vent the separation wall to some extent so I could use that split a/c unit and the CO2 with the veg. room.

If I have to buy separate equipment(burner/split a/c, dehuy, controllers), so be it...But is there a happy medium on the humidity that can work for both stages and still keep ANY mold from EVEN starting to form in the flowering buds?

If there's a happy medium that will work I can simply vent the separation wall with fans and bend a little extra ducting to prevent light leakage.

I think your set up with work fine. Climate control the flower room, and put a temp control on a damper to suck air to veg if needed. I never worry about humidity in veg or flower if I can keep it under 40-45%, though I shoot for lower. I do run seperate Dehums for veg and flower. I co2 regulate in my flower, and just duct constantly to veg as I use Natural gas supplied CO2 and dont care about that little bit of inefficiency.

dont stress humidity so much, both are fine in the 40-60% range. my humidity for bloom is 50, and veg is 60. humidity is really a factor in cloning, but thats not a big deal, just get a dome. the AC unit works as an AWESOME dehumidifier too, and i use the water from that for watering the plants.

I too run natural gas! I just split the gas line from the water heater...So maybe I should just duct contantly to Veg. as well and dehuy both rooms.

I'm just worried about being able to get rid of my excess by places that will most likely have it tested for the slightest bit of mold spores...50%-60% won't cause this?

Okay, this is starting to make me feel a little better...I'll toss up some pictures today/tomorrow when off work...Been busting my ass and my wallet to get this dream of mine completed.

So, Humidity and CO2 should almost be Non-Issues in the Veg. room so long as it's Temp. Controlled from the Flower through the Vented wall with the Dampers, Correct?? Should I also have some sort of Low set-point for a CO2 controller to also control the vents/dampers since it's sealed, or no?

I'm thinking at least 2 vents/dampers but would it be of any more benefit to have them running opposite directions(one high/one low) etc. or should they run in the same direction to avoid to much moisture at once entering the the flower room?

P.S. BTW, I'm running 6x1K HPS(maybe a MH or 2) in the flower and multiple T-5's in Veg. Using a Fantech 10" multi-flow(1,226 cfm's) w/variable speed at the end of the 2-3 light runs with a booster at intake and one at exhuast.

...this is true, but I wouldn't solely rely on the AC unit...when your lights kick off and the temps are acceptable without your AC's help, your humidity will sky rocket....just thought I'd throw that out there.

good point, and when the humidity is high at night, that is when PM is at its finest. within 2 dark cycles with humidity above 65%, i saw the first signs of powdery mildew! my worst enemy.

Make that 24k BTu = 2 tons, should be more than enough. Ive never seen different humidity levels discussed for flower vs. Veg., Im sure some do though.

Would you mind suggesting a couple of good dehuy's for the 2 rooms? My ideal dehuy(s) would be able to be wall hung in order to free up floor space and a pump/line for continuous run off.

I was under the impression that in order for the dehuy to be controlled by a climate controller that it needed to have an "Auto-Restart" feature. Although, I emailed a company about their "Ideal-Air 50 pint" dehuy and it says nothing about "Auto-Restart" but the company claims it can still be controlled by an environmental controller. Either way, it has it's own humidity control so I don't think it's a big deal.

But like I said, a very good quality dehuy that can be wall hung to free up floor space is what I'm looking for so yours and any one elses reccomendations are more than welcome!

So this seems like it would be more efficient when venting continuously since you're using the 24/7 scrubber fan anyways...Good idea.
