I love the show man, watch it all the time, good taste in tunes too! I have a question for ya, if you had 2 4x4x7 tents an 2 600watt lamps, what strain of your genetics would you grow if you could only pick 1 and grow it organically?

Smell can be an issue but I have a scrubber and fan, still would like to keep the smell not too heavy. I'm looking for something with medium-ish height and would probably only grow 4 plants per tent. Looking for the best yield of decent quality bud.

What do ya think?
Pretty sure sub will say Vortex.
I'm pretty sure sub will say vortex as well but from one newb grower to another......The void dude...... Everyday I walk into my garden and look at the 2 the void plants and pat myself on the back for running down and taking cuttings from this plant before it went into bloom. I literally cant fuck it up. I've ran 2 different nute programs with it and its taken well to both. It doesnt stretch much at all but I run MH for the first 2 weeks of bloom, I think that helps but it only gets a little bigger at stretch time. The only thing I cant figure out with my cut of the void is where the cheesy smell comes from. It goes from a burnt rubber smell, to a sweeter burnt rubber smell to something that I can only describe as cheesy once its jarred up. For my second grow I had a hard time with some of my plants, the void just stood out as being easy to grow and really doesnt do anything you wouldnt expect it to. I know vortex can stretch a bit though from what I've read, I grow in tents as well which is why I posted about the void. I was looking at one of my lights yesterday and was thinking how a 5 foot pre stretch bush would fit in there and it just isnt going to happen in a tent.

Hey Sub and all the fellow weed nerds out there got a question for everyone. What are your thoughts on Veganics vs. Organics? i am using GO line of nutes and recently came to find out they are vegan so i did a little research and found a video by kyle kushman and it really intrigued me and im interested to know what everyone thinks on the whole subject.

I'm using the GO line of nutes as well, I was all about the veganics and trying like hell to keep my plants from being deficient with the GO line without the help of the bio marine or anything else, trying to stick with straight plant based nutrition. But I couldnt feed them enough prior to using the bio marine, my fault not GO's. I missed the initial build up with fear of over feeding in which they used up all the nutes in the soil, started showing deficiency's which I tried to catch up to, but the GO bio thrive couldnt do it without the help of the bio marine. Since I started using that and act teas (alfalfa and kelp meals, EWC's and alaskan humus and a few other things) they dont look like they are missing anything. Also at the moment I have chernobyl in veg with an amended soil mix and thats looking like the ticket along with some act teas which is my 2nd attempt at "organics" and I have literally never had a plant so green or healthy. I finally know what everyone has been saying, I've said that before as well, this time its a little different. But the amended soil is my first (kinda) real taste of the "just add water" type of gardening even though its just the beginning and that isnt going to last more than a few weeks, I can see SS is going to be on my "to do" list this summer. I dont care if I have to mix that shit in my bath tub.

I'm working to get off the bottled shit though, thats more important than remaining veganic to me which took me a minute to figure out, I was trying like hell to stay within those guidelines yet using non vegan soil-less, cheating a little here and there with the bio marine, stressed because I did.........however I'm still not all that big on guano or shit of any sort (at least the idea of sticking my hands in and mixing soil with it). I plan to try a vegan grow again but I'm not as worried about as I thought I was. I'm highly critical of my herb, the people I give it to love it, I smoke it every day and no matter how much I critique my own shit the few people I give it to act like they cant live without it, its getting better and I cant wait until I can grow half as good as some of the people here do with a 10th of the effort without worrying about guidelines...........all while remaining 100% organic of course LOL.

Sub you got a nice plug from Chubbs over at C.P.A. via the Daily Dank newsletter. :)

Chubbs - I'm from NorCal and I've been growing for a number of years. This year, I have finished setting up my breeding room. I was just wondering if you are into breeding at all and if you have any favorite genetics or favorite breeders. =SpringSpring

- Swerve/The Cali Connection, SubCool from TGA Seeds and homie from Karma Genetics (spaced his name) are all good people with good seeds, IMO. =Chubbs
Just thought that I would toss that out there. :)

Hey guys, quick question! I have a few plant that are 3 weeks into the 12/12 flower cycle. The lights turn on at 8 AM and turn off at 8 PM. I need to switch the light schedule to turn on at 8PM and turn off at 8AM because of heat issues. What would be less stressful to my plants, leaving the lights on for 24 hours or leaving the light off for 24 hours to accommodate the schedule change? Thanks Fellow Nerds

leave the lights off. they should be fine with virtually no signs of stress. leaving the lights on will stress them very much.

do it with lights off, the flowering hormone is built up in the dark time and is diminished by light so instead of lowering the hormone by giving it a 24 hour day, u just build the hormone more although it is still somewhat stressful, its not as stressful as adding light to the dark time.

i hope that helps some.

i keep my dark time durring the day hours to help stabilize temps as well.

I was very fortunate that my dad was a pot farmer even before I was born.. So Pot culture has always been a part of my life.. I used to help dad carry water out to his patches as far back as when I was 9. He let me grow my first plant when I was 13 and I haven't stopped since.. (I'm 36 now). My mom on the other hand sounds alot like Sub's. She don't like the fact that the law is not on my side. But she respects that I am my own man and that i'm not just some sheep. She's a Mom and of course she worries. But without folks like us swinging the hammer at the wall of unjust Pot laws things will never change...... Get Up .. Stand Up... Stand Up for your Rights!!

Lol yeah I remember running threw my uncles reefer patch trails all through the woods lmao. Yeah my family does not agree with any of he laws either. They can hand oxycontin out by the bottles but you cant smoke a joint of some herb without fear of possible jailtime, let alone growing one.
Spread the love man keep em growing!

Ultimately, I want seed straight out of Willy Wonka's factory. To grow a plant with hard and tight resin laden morsels with the intense sweetness and fruityness of Juicy Fruit Gum. Every hit should be like a fresh piece of Juicy fruit gum. I'm not a big fan of spice at all. Sweet and Sour Diesel may be OK because I like dankity dank dank. If the taste isn't intense and good, I never grow it again.

I had a bunch of mystery genetics seeds come to me not long ago. I planted 4 and got 2 females, one was given to a friend and ultimately killed as he wasn't up to growing it out. The other female was in a 3 gallon pot in happy frog base, and super soil. Veg was only ~4 weeks and for the entirety of the veg stage it had little or no smell, but when harassed with a branch shake she gave off a fresh peppery/spice smell. Once flowering started the spicy smell gave way to an extremely fruity 'jilly bean' style scent, the closest description I could come up with to describe the smoke was the flavor of a jawbreaker.

I was surprised at the complete 180* turn the scent had made, which was a great relief to my taste buds.

You really cant tell the true flavor until flower!

In 32 sub just said the strains you don't hear too much about is because they are harder to keep in stock. He even mentioned 3d by name.
Sweet I haven't got to catch ep 32 I want to even more now that he mentions 3d, my child seems to think laptops are something to use as a step ladder so we just went from 3 comps to 1 in not even 5 mins. lol I love him, all I could do is give him a  then a nap lol.

LONDON (AP) – People who use marijuana before driving are nearly twice as likely to cause a car crash as those not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to a Canadian analysis of previous studies

Experts at Dalhousie University in Canada reviewed nine studies of more than 49,000 people involved in accidents on public roads involving one or more motor vehicles, including cars, trucks, buses and motorcycles. Marijuana use was confirmed by blood tests or self-reporting.Researchers found drivers who had used marijuana within three hours of beginning to drive had nearly double the risk of causing a collision, especially those that were fatal.
Marijuana is the most widely used illegal drug worldwide and rates of its use in drivers are increasing. A 2007 study in Scotland found 15 percent of 537 drivers aged 17 to 39 had used marijuana within 12 hours.
Some experts said education campaigns about the dangers of doing drugs before driving wouldn't work.
People "will also need to be persuaded that they are at risk of their cannabis use being detected," wrote Wayne Hall of the University of Queensland in an accompanying editorial.
Hall said more research was needed to prove whether roadside drug testing, as introduced in parts of Australia and the U.S., actually prevents more drug-related car accidents.
The study was published Friday in the journal, BMJ.

Hmmm.... blood tests, because they are so reliable. They say that smoking pot doubles the risk of car accidents especailly fatal ones. yet, they also say that 15% of drivers had used in that age demographic in the previous 12 hours. compare that to the 9% of the population that uses regularly in the same demographic... their numbers are already looking shotty. if smoking pot makes you a bad driver, and marijuana is the most used illegal drug in the world, you would think they would have bodies piling up in every country of the world... but they dont. they got one thing right tho. the most dangerous part of using cannabis is, and always has been, getting caught.

but that might just change, Washington state WILL have a vote to legalize for recreational use in 2012. go register.
