This is all to headlines back there, to justify their 'Task Force' funding for next year. They need to get their task force name in the news weather they get a conviction or not.

I wish this were true. Having been through the Fed system and serving a mandatory 5 year minimum sentence, I know it is not. Conspiracy charges are incredibly hard to defend against. I met many people in Lompoc USP that were serving life for conspiracy. No drugs were found...just the testimony of other crooks. That's all it takes with the feds. The best case scenario is a good plea offer. I met a guy offered 7 years or go to trial and get 20 if convicted. He risked trial, lost, and got a 20 year sentence. Ironically, when I met him head had just served 8 years already and would have been home had he took the deal. It is almost impossible to win against the feds in a trial. Just google their success rate.

While I feel for these guys, I also know that they knew what they were getting into. When we start exporting we lose any medical law protection we may have. I have been offered (right here on RIU) alot of money to send weed east. Our collective could get an extra $1,000/lb doing this. But, I know that if I do it I'm giving up the little legal protection I have operating in a legal med state. There's not alot of money anymore growing and selling within California. It takes alot more work than it did 20 years ago. In 1995 people were paying $20,000/5 pack for outdoor Northern Lights. In today's dollars that would be closer to $25,000. We were spoiled and alot of people had a hard time seeing that end. The only way to keep that money coming (especially with outdoor) was to export.

I don't know how much RUI had to do with this bust. I do know that nothing on any website would be enough in and of itself for an arrest, let alone a conviction. The feds have an informant...they always do. Every few arrests they make will give them more informants. Like it or not, faced with 20 years, people start talking. I would suggest to anyone with any connection to any of these people clean up their act. It probably won't help at this point, but no sense adding fuel to the fire. All it takes is 2 rats to tell the same story to secure a conviction. Any more evidence is just frosting. If you had a long standing business relationship with these people it may be time to get out while you can.

Maybe. But if they had been onto them for a while, which clearly they were, they could have gone before a judge and been granted the right to listen to every cell phone conversation, snag any text messages from their phones out of the air and even tap land lines. The pigs might have known precisely which name/number to text long before they got to fdd's, so I doubt that any guessing or random texting needed to be relied on.

Why are you deleteing his post RIU ? What benefit does he have to come on here and lie ? He is a very small time personal grower and the feds showed up at his house. The detective told him they were part of a internet narcotic investigation team and the other detective was upset that the guy let it out of the bag. HOW DID THEY GET TO HIS HOUSE ?



What are you guys covering up for yourselfs that you have to go and delete his post. It sucks FDD got busted, but you play you pay. What I do care about is you guys deleteing post to fit your agenda and or cover up to keep your member count up. What ever the reason you don't have the right to delete his post. He speaks the truth and you guys are hideing it.

Have to agree with this... If you and another person are talking about making money off of sells of weed...then you go and grow or are growing weed...guess what you just accomplished .. .A conspiracy charge with you and the person that you had the discussion with...you don't even have to make a sell... just the conversation with an action

RIU, you have a responseabilty to edit, delete or curb Non legal post/thread activities in legal states. You just put a bad name on prop 215 by not doing so. Not go deleteing someone's post when he's just trying to warn others !

Good call. But I do think that mechanically seperated THC is ok for concentrates though I'm not positive. I do know that the act of making chemical extracts is the same in the laws eyes as a meth lab so not ok in med states.

I love me some bubble.

Yup. Although I doubt they give a shit unless you are selling large amounts. Common sense would indicate that here, or anywhere on the Internet that you don't post stuff that can come back and bite you in the ass

Its too bad about what happened. Ive been gone from here awhile trying to get my life straigt. Fdd was always a big help to me even turned my cookbook into a sticky lol. anyways hope all goes well for his family.
