best cfl for clones

Hey Qwuert quite the bullshit for a simple answer, there are some real winners here for sure! CFL's will be fine for your veg, you have to remember that the intensity is not there and should be as close as possible. A single 62 watt cfl has about 2200 lumens and I like about 10,000 lumens per sq/ft for veg, that kinda tells ya how many youll need as a min. for good growth. You are looking for 6500k bulbs for vegging.


Changing to an hps for flower is fine, just remember to keep the light away for a day or so and bring it down a couple of inches a day.

Can you really compare a system running off cfl's vs. that monstrous system running 4 1000w hoods not to mention all the other gear u got there even if u did pay $100 per unit most people that are talking about setting up a cfl system look at their entire light budget as what u paid for just one unit in ur set-up.

Well I left a little space because I was going to be lst traing them and I didn't want my fan leaves on the dirt while I tie them to the rim of the pots, so I left a little space. I also added a half inch of perlite on top of my soil to prevent any bugs in the future from laying eggs in my soil. Those are 5 gallon buckets btw

Yea it works great , haven't seen any bugs since I did it. Sand would be better but I had this extra perlite laying around so I just went with it instead.

The only problem with perlite on the surface is when the fan blows a few chunks up into your sticky buds. I use sand and hydroton on the surface to keep the bugs out.

Don't think that'll be a problem seeing as my fan blows a slight breeze across the canopy . Like I said sand would be better but this perlite will work just fine.

i find when i water it moves perlite so u just gave me ideal i have hydroton i will place over soil to hold perlite in place thanks bro+repped
