all religion is just another way to escape reality and waste time worrying about what comes after this life. nothing comes after this life, get over it, and make the best of this one you can. the only reason one will pursue religion is because of fear of burning in a fire pit for eternity, they get in your head when they tell you that stuff when your a kid, its one of the most fucked up things that happens in our culture, and it traumatizes our youth into being religion-biased, close minded and arrogant towards different beliefs, its all fueled by the fear they planted in them while their mind was still growing. please tell me you still think religion is good after you've read this, it truly is one of the most cruel things to force upon people, its modern day mind control if you think about it.
religion is different in every culture, but all of them have the same purpose with a few exceptions(buddhism, taoism, other religions who do not ask for 10% of your salary, or some sort of pay). all want power over the people. people who came to america also came to escape persecution of religion, yet we are a country with very strong dominantly Christian values, people freaked out when they though Obama wasn't Christian. what does this say about us?
theres enough things separating people out there, whether it be race, language, culture, political views etc. dont let religion make you separate yourself from your fellow human beings, if you do believe religion is a good thing please go travel to Jerusalem and take a look for yourself.
we all want the answers to life, but religion isn't the way to go. you'll end up spending your life asking for forgiveness, while you should be out there making the world a better place. dont give your 10% to the church, go feed a kid in Africa. those bastards dont need it, they arent even paying taxes. they're getting payed to tell stories.
