Coming from you thats a compliment. What was your contribution to our country again? Besides insulting people on the internet.
you serving in the armed forces contributed to society?

i mean, i'm sure all the menfolk enjoyed the sandwiches you made for them and all, but i haven't noticed us in a battle worth fighting since WWII.

which engagement(s) did you serve in?

Name one conflict America has fought in since 1945 that has "contributed" to the US?

The Armed Forces mean well and all, but going off fighting for no reason doesn't "contribute" to anything except your national debt. They are an honorable force but are used dishonourably by your political masters.

i can't wait to see which engagement he made sandwiches and did laundry for that he thinks "contributed" anything positive to this nation.

Hey now, providing a service of getting high to those who pretend to have glaucoma is a great contribution to our country. Next week Obama is planning a parade in his honor.

what good has come out of any engagement after WWII, besides your free health care?
If I remember correctly there was this little country called Kuwait that was illegally emancipated by another sovereign country. Liberating it and installing a western regime enabled cheap gas for you to put in your car for the next 20 years, this enabled massive growth countrywide.

Vets don't get free healthcare, its not like you can just walk into any hospital and get a few stitches and walk away without a bill.

It is not blasphemy to ask why one class of citizens should be exalted.
it's definitely not always the case, but often veterans act like a bunch of holier-than-thou pricks. i used to have veterans get pissed because they didn't get their netflix at a special discount rate.

sorry, just because you voluntarily signed up for a useless boondoggle in iraq doesn't mean i'm going to kiss your feet. be thankful that we're paying for your free health care for the rest of your life (among other perks).

I am serious. Besides being Irish, Obama's apparently part latino too. They work on what's called polytime, which means, "I'll do it when I damn well please!" I'm sure he'll eventually get to your parade.

I did not and do not agree with these conflicts. I did volunteer and serve two seperate enlistments, now theres metal in my body where there used to be bones. I paid enough, some paid with their lives. We went where they told us, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Iraq, Panama. Back when the US Government said there were WMD's that were a threat. We had many engagements like support for minesweeping the Panama Canal, and other shipping lanes to ensure shipping routes would remain open for transport of many things, food, medical supplies which did reach and help many people. We came under fire on many occassions. We only had men in combat back then and there were no sandwiches just cold MRE's. If you only knew, yes there were mines found and we removed them. American servicemen and women do risk their lives on a daily basis and are involved in many things that never make headlines or appear in the media. Youre not one of those guys that would spit on the Vietnam Veterans and called them baby killers when they came home are you, just asking.

lol, nice try. we don't get a whole lot of oil from kuwait, don't break your arm patting yourself on the back there.

besides, i believe the chosen one would ask us what business we have fighting another country's war.

We got lots of oil from Kuwait prior to NAFTA young'n. and that war also relieved Iraq of most of its oil too. Course, now a days we get most of our oil from Canada and Mexico.

Things were different when you were 9 and oblivious to everything going on in the world you know.

lol, show me how much oil we got from kuwait and how it directly lead to "massive growth countrywide". we get an almost insignificant amount of oil from kuwait and it's been that way.

nafta was signed in 1994, by the way, so your claim about "20 years of cheap gas" is a bit of a stretch there, soldier.

lol, you didn't agree with the conflicts, you actually believed the WMD canard, you signed up voluntarily, and now you want me to kiss your ass for it?

fuck off.

and i might not have been as critical of vietnam vets seeing as how many of them were drafted and did not sign up voluntarily.

you served a support role in panama. if you didn't do it, someone else would have and i wouldn't have to pay for your health care.

and i'm sure your hero ronnie would say that the panama canal should be panama's concern since 1999.
No thats where your wrong. No one owes me shit I worked my ass off for everything I have. Not you or the Government or anybody else. And I do not get free health care from any source. Wrong again.
