i just got Durban Poison seeds cuz i saw the buds on the website was purple ... im hoping mine looks the same

theres a couple people on here who only grow durban, heard its a pretty good yielder but shes supposedly really leafy. and let it get a little cold(anything lower than 67-65 degrees) and she'll turn purple for sure. theres some strains like blue moonshine that even turn blue when they put out resin. and thanks, you gotta journal? id be glad to subscribe.

shit, pm me if you can id love to look into some new strains. ive always been a big time bubba lover as well. havent had my bubba x trainwreck strain for a long time but i remember that was one of the best strains i ever grew, lost the cutting about 2 years ago and im kickin myself in the ass for it, they got those super dense golf ball buds like some of the old pre-98 bubba but it also had those calyx thats seem to knot that you can only find of trainwreck. if that bubba turns out good i might have to put aside some dough, anything for some good bubba genetics

yeah hopfully ill be able to do that, but what iv been doing is watering with ice and then placeing ice on the top of the soil. Someone was talking about it in my thread, and yes i do have a thread .. its my bagseed grow.

be careful with that, the low temps of the ice can stress out the plant. an old friend of mine did that and it killed em. and ill be on there.

can still do the ice bit just do it a few days before harvest so your not potentially killing your plant 2-3 weeks before its done, then if you kill it you can just harvest it and be just as happy

yeah the temp of ice is just too low for the roots. it freaks them out when the temperature changes that much. it probably wouldnt kill a bigger plant although, might hurt a seedling or a clone a lot more.

can also bring em outside, most places outside temps are still dropping fairly low at night, enough to get that purple to show. just make sure its not expected to go below freezing to prevent any unwanted frosts (though Marijuanna is pretty resiliant and take 4 straight frosts and keep on going)
but its the plant you want to be cold not the roots, freezing the roots on any plant will cause it to go dormant or die whichever it is genetically designed to do.

ice water wont actually freeze the roots anyways, but it can stress the plant to go dormant and drop the buds, thats what Mj does in natural conditions, once the frosts start hitting she dies off and drops her buds hoping next growing season some of them make it.

good point, if you stress them out on the last days they can really juice up. cannabis' defense mechanism makes it put out resin, so if you can stress them just enough to still keep them alive, you can push them pretty far.

i think about 2 years ago it got like 27 degrees out here, my girls got really colorful. i think those low temps can cause lockouts too right?
