Thanks man. Will update at least weekly till harvest, then all the way thru till smoke report. Plan on curing for at least 2 weeks. Anyone have advice on curing time?

So many unfinished grow journals on here, it's a bit depressing sometimes to see a grow thru week 5 then nothing, so I will definitely finish with weight and smoke report.

Begining the 7 week of flower today. Things have slowed down a bit, but both are looking nice. The double dutch looks a bit behind the blackjack, both are mostly clear, but the blackjack has more cloudy. Figuring week 9 or 10 is chop time.

I used 1x2 and 2x2's for a frame. Framed 2 separate areas, one for grow and one to soundproof the fan.Sheeted the whole thing in 1/2" board. I drew up the plans on google sketchup...that worked really well.

I wish I would have taken time to take pictures and document the building process but I had to quick build one weekend when the kids were away. I can take some better pics of the grow area when the lights come on later tonight. The overall grow area is 35" wide, 35" tall, and 23.5" deep. On first setup I had only one active air 5" x 18" carbon filter, and did not have enough surface area to vent properly for my 4in active air inline fan. Temps with a 250w hps were well over 98. I installed a y in the intake and another 18 filter and now temps never get over 85-86 and only if I close the door to my office, which I almost never do, so temps stay about 80-82. If I did it over I would just get the bigger filter and flange down to 4".

I am kinda rambling here so if you have any specific questions, please ask away I'll be more than happy to help if I can.

Here is some pics of my box. It's wedged into a closet with an old school big screen tv on it so it's hard to move, so just some pics of the grow space. Couple pics showing the height of my hood and distance between canopy and bulb. I thought I was around 8-10", more like 5 to 6". I have good ventilation and fans blowing across and through the canopy. Still doesnt seem like I should be able to keep the light that close. Anyone with 250 hps in an open hood have experience. I don't have heat problems and the bulb was brand new when I started this grow, but I guess that doesnt mean anything could be bad.

I knew the space I was working with would allow me a 36" cube. I needed 12" of the 36" depth for my fan enclosure. The remaining 23.5" is my grow area.

Not much unfortunately. If I get an oz per plant I will be happy. It will probably end up around 20-25 grams dried per plant. I had no clue what to expect growth wise going in so I erred on the small side during veg. Next grow I will veg longer and fill my screens more before I flip them. I also have some buckets that are the same height as the ones I have now but are 85% bigger so that will help next yield too.​

I got the wood at Menards, which is like Home Depot only cheaper. The sheets are 8 foot by 4 foot by 1/2" thick. The important part to remember is the 1/2" thickness, if you want 4ft wide then your frame needs to be 47 inches wide to account for the 1/2" sheeting on both sides. Basically figure out your final dimensions and subtract 1" when building the frame.

The depth is just the 3rd measurement...if you want 4ft wide and 5-6ft tall then your depth would be how far in you want it to go. For your dimensions I would go at least 3ft deep, 4ft would be ideal then all your cuts for the base will be square.

Beginning week 8, and both look like they are gonna be slow finishers. The blackjack still looks slightly ahead of the double dutch. Maybe week 9 mid-week or even into the end of week 10. Gonna feed through this week and keep a close eye on em as they ripen. They both are looking good, both are showing purple alot, hope this isnt a deficiency in something. The blackjack shows purple normally I'm pretty sure and other than the color both look good. I' getting close to finish so I'm tryin not to worry too much.

This time of year makes me want to nair my dog. Need to try the filtrete furnace filter again. Heres some pics.

Thanks thoth! I started with clones about 4in tall. Soon as the roots hit the rez and the top hit the screen I flipped. Shoulda waited a bit longer, and vegged till my screens were about 40% full. But I am certain I'm at the max size for my little buckets though so it all worked out in the end.

Cant wait to see what I end up with. The beefy ass blackjack looks to have more weight, but the double dutch has some quantity. Im thinkin and hopin around 20-25 grams each. Couple weeks they may get bigger hopefully!

Ya gonna scrog for sure. I have a buddy who grows commercially and he keeps me supplied with free bud so I am growing solely for the fun and pleasure. I have lots of access to clones and I dont really have a veg area so Ill go clones again next time. I would like to scrog out a couple of sativas next time. Want to see if I can do a SSH or Jack mini scrog. We'll see though, I dont currently have access to clones of either of those but I think trainwreck just joined my buddy's rotation so idk what the next grow will be.
