Don't be paranoid, just be cautious. The advice to avoid sending to a location that may jeopardize an operation should be noted and not forgotten. Here is the deal on the mail in the US. Let me just state that I know a great deal about "importing" and how customs works in the US. I personally know people that received dozens, yes, dozens of LL's (love letters or seizure notices etc.) and never had a copper come to their home or office. To this day, they still receive to these addresses. Remember, customs only checks less than 5% of cargo containers and while the mail is somewhat easier to screen, the sheer magnitude and quantity of items makes it certain
many shipments will make it through to you. If not and customs snags it, guess what, the numbers game begins again. How big was the shipment? Where does it rate on our national security and political agendas? How much resources do we have to pursue this and to what end? I venture to say, 99.9 % of seizures lead to nothing more that a standard LL from CBP (Customs and Border Patrol). For a while, I even saw some DHS letterheads out there. All of these letters do tend to scare the shit out of folks though. lol
Few ppl that ordered small amounts of almost anything have EVER been arrested. Don't listen to the hysteria which frightens so many. Thousands of illegal shipments make it through the mail EVERY day. The trigger is almost always quantity and or those who ordered the wrong substance, like coke, ketemin, etc. This is not to say they will not pursue a case over seeds. I think it would come down to few facts such as the total quantity and or if multiple strains were present in the seizure as this might indicate something bigger and more tasty down the food chain. Don't be cheap! Pay the extra postage and break your orders up! I have never known a good source that would not do this if compensated for the postage. Not one, ever. Just ask and I almost guarantee they say yes. If not, use another source. This is very important so heed this if nothing else that I have written. The next major mistake purchasers and sources make is expedited delivery. I seen so many sources of other items, not seeds however, go out of business after offering this shipping method. From my experience, this is usually why many established, veteran shippers do not offer express shipping. Resist this urge. DO NOT USE ANY EXPRESS SHIPPING if you wish to reduce seizure rates. The odds of a seizure rise meteorically when shipping this way. All express mail / packages are treated and handled 100% differently. There is little need for me to detail how this works but suffice to say your risks of seizure go up exponentially when shipping this way. Are people receiving express shipments like this every day? You bet but I strongly encourage better planning, patience and standard shipping.
As one member wrote, "order, what order?" The biggest challenge is proving the case and certainly any serious charges that may arise.
If you send a MO, cash, use Western Union (correctly), cover /clean your Internet /PC tracks and all that good stuff, you give your lawyer a lot to work with if anything bad does happen. In the most unlikely occurrence that you are confronted when retrieving the mail (most common method), don't talk, lawyer up immediately and LEO will have to struggle just to get a possession charge to stick. If you are careful in the execution of your order, an analogy is very much like junk mail can be drawn. Just because it may have your address on it, this by itself does not prove you ordered or requested such items to be delivered to you. Period. The case will have to be made elsewhere unless you decide to "talk" your way out of it, use your normal CC, or any of 100 other dumb or careless things ppl do. Don't be paranoid, just be cautious.
