I harvested the Super Lemon Haze before the BubbleGum I will show why with some super close Zorb shots... $30 USB micrscope that can take video and pics pretty cool. Kids love it but it's daddies toy!
Here are the shots of my BubbleGum at 60 days.
Mostly cloudy with some clear and very few amber. I used to harvest like this or earlier *gasp* yes I was stupid, don't be stupid like me. That was years ago though, I was impatient and didn't consider this a hobby just a way to obtain my own medicine. Trust me.. wait.. then wait some more.. then when you can't wait.. wait... LOL you get the point, the longer the better trust me.
Here is my Super Lemon shots that I did cut down last night, which it surprised me with the yield. I knew it was a big plant but bit wispy and not full, sativas and especially SLH is not the best yield for your bang. By looking at the dryer, I can estimate probably 4 ozs dry.. way more then expected. I kept trimming and trimming.. thinking I could knock it out in a hour or two.. lol. I think I got a buzz from the toxic lemon, I mean I never let my super lemons go this long and damn, it was like ONIONS I swear, my eyes were tearing from lemon scent. I went through three pairs of nitrile gloves, it was soo sticky probably the stickiest I seen in a while. Tip for the newbs get couple pairs of scissors, that way you can have one with the tips in alcohol while still trimming, then when the others get gummed up switch.
The amber is more dominate on the bigger buds for this SLH this was a popcorn but you can see the change bit more, this is where you pic up more the aroma and taste, as well as potency. Most people cry oh too much amber blah blah, well you know what myself and others growers secretly know? That there are thousands more trichs you can't see that were probably clear that went milky, while the few you cry about being amber are present.
I think really the CBD amber stuff is kinda of misleading, I think that most strains need more amber to produce the euphoric high many want, and are compromised because of picking early.
Enough rambling, I know it will fall on many deaf ears but I guess that's good for me because "I" know my medicine is better. If I was not running short of space I would have let this one go another week or two, to even get more amber its that pronounced, yet many never see or experience it. The buds need to be "ripe" no matter what strain you grow.
Ok peace...
