ik sounds crazy right! Im only considering this option cause I want to pull 2-3lb Im also in the process of decidng how to cool these tents as well they get around 85 with 1 800 watt solar storm, 900 watt bs, and a 500 watt bs I bring in outside air with a 340 cfm whisper fan and remove air through a carbon filter and 340 cfm fan, Im debating on buying a 12000 btu ac mini split and hanging on the outside of my 4x8 tents and then cooling the room outside them and having a 340 cfm on a temp controler blow air into the tents, the room the tents are in is 22X6X7 and it has 2 - 4x8 (flower) and 1 4x4 (veg) and 1 3x3(clone) do you think to keep it cool the method above would work or should I hang 2 9000 btu mini splits in each 4x8 tent?Wait a minute, so your removing led panels in the summer and replacing them with hps but don't want heat to "get uota control"???confused.......
going to need a little info medium choice/how hot does it get where you live/intake and outtake ratings(cfms)/co2 enrichment?/running cooltubes or open fixture??
good luck
Alright i would go with two 9000btu units.....don't want the compressors running overtime.......still haven't answered the cooltube/openfixture(are you running co2?/very good investment in high temps) either way it should be a remote ballast .....can't go less than two 400w & 900bs in that space.....now are you willing to go balls out then check these fixtures http://www.cycloptics.com/products/all_bright ........less wattage put comparable par/umol to a 600w!!!! and their dimmable( a first for cmh) ....and btw a scrubber(carbon filter) WILL reduce your cfms by 30%........keep this all in mind and good luckik sounds crazy right! ill look into getting co2 tanks as well. yea it would be a cool tube for sure. I should take the carbon filter off but then my odor is gna rise any suggestioins on how to reroute this so I can benefit from removing the hot air but still odorize the air? maybe put the carbo filter at the opposite end instead of the tent? what is that link theres no pics of it?Alright i would go with two 9000btu units.....don't want the compressors running overtime.......still haven't answered the cooltube/openfixture(are you running co2?/very good investment in high temps) either way it should be a remote ballast .....can't go less than two 400w & 900bs in that space.....now are you willing to go balls out then check these fixtures http://www.cycloptics.com/products/all_bright ........less wattage put comparable par/umol to a 600w!!!! and their dimmable( a first for cmh) ....and btw a scrubber(carbon filter) WILL reduce your cfms by 30%........keep this all in mind and good luck
@enduro........why would you buy these bran new fero's at $650(six module) when you can have the same one http://led-star.en.alibaba.com/product/558379528-213323588/led_grow_yield_promotion_high_power_growing_under_led_lights120x3W_for_flower_herbs.html for $380 ( my quote/custom diode selection) shipped to us........the fero people are just drop shippers, yet they lowered the warranty from 5yr(the manctur) to their 3yr???????????
Probably gonna have to run two inlines(to still keep the odors down)...........use the 350fcm on the two cooltubes and buy a 250-350cfm for the scrubberill look into getting co2 tanks as well. yea it would be a cool tube for sure. Yeah it will be available soon(still in testing)only open fixture for now, but it runs at lower wattage(less heat/dimmable to 50%) but at 1.9ppf/w it's the best light source(IMO) per watt, even beating the 1000w(240v) Gavita hps per watt..........It's a ceramic metal halide bulb by philips designed for horticulture, it puts out more blue than a MH and more red than an HPS in "laymen's terms"........good luckwhat is the light its a phillips agro 315 watt bulb is it hps? I cant find any one whos used one?
Thnks pet I have a t5 8 bulb I use in veg and it ded kicks some heat havnt thought about flowering with it ThoughMy suggestion (to minimize heat maximize coverage) is 3 @ 4 bulb HO T5s. They get warm, BUT, do not radiate heat. I am using ZooMed FloraSuns + UVL AquaSuns + UVL Red Lifes + UVL 660 + Wave Point Coral Wave
This sounds promising wonder howuch they'll cost?..Probably gonna have to run two inlines(to still keep the odors down)...........use the 350fcm on the two cooltubes and buy a 250-350cfm for the scrubber
That sounds like it would cost more then just running ac and 1340 hooked up to the cool tubes and doing the scrubbing?... I'll have to look into how many watts the ac draws

Oh they will be pricey$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$But it will be the best indoor light source IMO until leds gets its act together....Thnks pet I have a t5 8 bulb I use in veg and it ded kicks some heat havnt thought about flowering with it Though

Makes sense.........enjoy your new panelI got the FERO 336x3w instead, I went with FERO because it's in Canada, easy to deal with, and great customer service.
I believe the lights are not the same. different spectrum
