A tax analogy, who's really paying their fair share?

Bucky, I sure hope you're not autistic or have down syndrome, cause I'm getting a kick making you look stupid.
Your little chart is only a marginal tax rate table, are you seriously that misinformed about your own taxes?

Go ask your daddy in-law the difference between the lovely chart you provided, and the effective tax rate you paid on your 35k, I'm confident he'll expect you to know these fundamentals if you are going to run his company in the future!

Wow, it must be devastating to realize you're not the intellect you thought you were. ROTFLMAO
That's what he likes to do though. Nothing you can do but watch.

His e-charts make it so that he thinks he knows what he's talking about.

It's all about them e-charts.

what's there to respond to?

sometmes capitalism operates in a shitty fashion, sometimes it operates in an excellent fashion that benefits all. romney would be an example of the former, honest folks like myself and my family are the epitome of the latter.

my pa-in-law is still rich and his employees are happy. win-win. there should be more mechanisms in place to prevent the kind of vulture capitalism practiced by others that leaves taxpayers footing the bill for romney's path of destruction.
You're nor anyone else, is in a position to make judgement on capitalism based, employer vs. employee "honesty". That's between the employer and the employee period.

Employees should be happier than they are across the globe, but that has no bearing on "honesty" either. Lots of people think they are getting shafted as an employee, but it's just their own greed blinding them with an illusion. It's what we call being ungrateful.

So once again, there is still no legitimately logical position you're coming from, in regards to the comment you just made. You probably don't know why it's not a logical position, even though I just told you why.

Silly e-charts, getting in the way of your well thought out theory of "I think I know what I'm talking about, but I really don't".
it's not opinion, it's the law of the land.

do you always have to wait until mommy and daddy are in bed to log on to RIU?

it's the law of the land.
What is? The tax code? Those are regulations not the "law of the land". The reason you think incorrectly is because the "income" tax, besides having a dubious ratification process, has been deceitfully used to take from people that which is not taxable.
You will argue the point but you cannot come up with a law that says American's wages are subject to "income" tax. Even the Supreme Court agrees that the 16th Amendment gives "no new taxing power" to the government. The "We the People" Foundation had a $50,000 reward for anybody who could come with the law that says wages are taxable and smarter people than you have tried to collect it and failed. Even IRS agents have tried to find that law and some have quit the agency when they found out the truth.

oh, so you want to talk about effective tax rate now! i'll be happy to.

do you want to talk about how we have one of the lowest effective tax rates for business in the world?

LOL!

Just as I said, you are full of shit and have no frigging clue what you are talking about.
Your handy dandy chart is nothing but a progressive tax table! LMFAO

If your agi is $35k, your taxable income is about 24k so the effective tax rate on that income is around 9%, and that's filing single with no child tax credit or no deductions.
You're nothing but a big mouth progressive with no life experience. But what a big game you talk on the forums. You got busted lying about taxes you do not pay, so I'll assume you lie about everything else.
What an idiot you are, I've always been talking about effective tax rates, as you can see in my quote above, all the way back from page #2, your effective tax rate is the rate you actually pay, Einstein. Your poor father in-law has no clue about his brilliant son in-law, does he? LMFAO

You're running your mouth about Mitt Romney paying 15%, while you are only paying 9%. He contributes over $3million in taxes, and you, well, a whopping $2,200!

In other words, you don't have a pot to piss in my friend, your big mouth writes checks your ass can't cash.
Reminds me of a lot of ............................................................OBAMA! LOL

Although I agree with you, I have a few friends who got together and tried not paying their "voluntary income taxes".
They followed a plan that was "guaranteed to work".

A couple of buddies houses were lost in this scheme. LOL!

A word of advice for anyone thinking about not paying income tax.......Don't do it! LOL!

I think that should be up to the individual. There are some successes, too. Civil disobedience is a cornerstone of American society.

you keep getting your facts wrong. i paid 22% back when i was doing the whole desk job thing, and willard pays 13% at most. he won't release other returns because he paid much lower, otherwise it would be a no brainer to release them.

I guess if Mitt got on this forum, he could claim he paid a much higher rate, like 45%, kind of like you. LOL
Here's a link below to the IRS, it's an income tax calculator. Go ahead a punch in your $35k salary and see what rate you're paying, it only takes about 30 seconds! Go for it big mouth, you'll find out, you got owned.

There's nothing more humiliating than a know it all like yourself, calling other people stupid when all along the moron was you.

Bullshit! The regs are based on the codification of the tax bills originated in the House and passed by the House and Senate and signed into law by the president. I 'd like to see you document that horseshit assertion about agents quitting the "agency".

Yes, but those individuals better know exactly what might happen when the tax man catches up with them.

The government will do whatever they can/want when they come to the conclusion that you owe them something.
