Air Layering would be a way to significantly increase the results of a graft. Imagine a big mama, then place a few smaller plants (already rooted) in smaller containers near the host mother. Now make your graphs as you would, but keep the smaller ones still feeding and connected to their own root systems. This technique is more work, but the babies won't desiccate and can be severed once the graft takes (or they root . A mother w six strains, not a bad idea.
