Nice Ol' Buds Seed Germination 101 Tutorial
What's up RIU, today i'll be sharing how I germinate my seeds, works well and is really simple. Common procedue but I have a few add ons that keeps your seedling roots healthy.
First off you will need these materials:
-Paper Towel(s)
-Paper Plates(x2)
-Glass or Party Cup
-Bottled Water
-Microwave
-Ziploc Baggy
-Rubber band(optional)
Now to begin, thing you want to do is get your seeds. Make sure their the darker ones with patterns and dont have any cracks or are premature of any sort. Get your glass cup and fill it up with bottled water. Put it in a microwave for around 30-45 seconds. Now that its warm, and you have clean warm drinking water, its time to put your seeds in the cup. If they sink right away their not good, if they float then you have gotton somewhat farther(lol). After waiting for around 12-24 hours, you will see that your seeds have sinked(YOU MAY HAVE TO TAP THEM TO SINK!). Congratz!
Take 5
Now that your seeds have absorbed that "One Drop of Life", you will need to get a paper towel, fold it nicely
.
Wash your hands for this one! Now fill your cup again with fresh bottled-water and put in the microwave again to get it warm. Once you have that done, wet the paper-towel with it ofcourse, and lay your seeds on it and fold the paper-towel over them, make sure the seeds are spread apart so no root contact will occur. Place the paper-towel in the ziploc baggy and store between 2 paper plates! Wait for them to sprout and once they do, you can carry on from there! Thanks for reading the guide and take a look on helpful tips on how not to obtain any root rot during germination to lose valuable seeds. Doing it this way and following the tips will ensure a proper way of sprouts with no contamination. Germinated 7 old Reggie seeds and all 7 sprouted.
TIPS:
---Every time you open your ziploc baggy and check on your young-lings, get bottled water again and warm it up in a cup, get a new paper-towel and put the warm water on it, re-do everytime you check up on your seeds. This way you keep them in warm conditions every now and then and are keeping them clean.
---Pefer using tweezers and not your hands when dealing with seeds, roots are very delicate at this stage!
---Try not to breathe on your sprouts if you like looking close at them, human breathe is very threatning to a sprout.
Hope you all enjoyed, Any questions just ask.
If any have suggestions on future guides that I should make, just let me know!
Peace everyone!
