Alright. That's what I was thinking. But when I take down the cfls my friends plants will be left in virtually no light . Well, there will still be light but his plants will have virtually no direct light. I asked him to give me his plants so I could flower them, so it would b a real jerk move to all of the sudden give them back . But if I keep the plants it will b a real waste to only get some skimpy buds off such nice plants due to my insufficient lighting. And he is still working on his indoor set up. His last plant failed miserably indoors. But he was working with some pretty poor equipment (he had some non-grow flood lights. A small closet with no control over the temperature. It is too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. His closet was not light proof, bug problems etc.) But he's learning the ways of the indoor grower and is steadily improving his indoor set up, but still we would not really use his set up to flower. Maybe for seedlings , clones and to veg the occasional plant or two but that's all for now. So what I'm trying to get at is... If I give him the plants back we will prob jus leave them outside to continue to veg. Which is still a gamble because the fall is really cold here and we need really favorable weather to ever have a successful outdoor harvest. And when we veg a plant for so long outdoors I would not be able to bring it inside because my space is decent but my light hangs about a lil over 6 feet from my grow room floor and once a plant is more than 3 feet tall I would worry it would outgrow my grow room once I initiate flowering.

Hey joker don't b shy. I need all the answers I can get. I definately don't feel like I have all the bases covered. Wassup with the drying and curing ??? How do u go about it?? I've dried my first plant but never really cured. And since I invested money into this grow I want MEDICINAL QUALITY... So what steps should I take to ensure I get the quality of weed I want ??

I don't know what to tell you man, you have a choice to make. If you can lower the temps by increasing ventilation or by rerouting some A/C ducting you may be able to keep the additional light. Otherwise it's a matter of which is the lesser of two evils...

I dont what all the hype is about my plants are growing good with temps in the high 80's and 90's sometimes, I just give them lots of fresh air circulation and they seem to do fine. After all these plants can grow near the equator which is 90's year round.

Certain strains do well in heat, certain strains don't.

Ahhh!!! Thanks a lot , I've wondered about that. Because mj does typically grow in hot regions. So when people say 72-78 degrees for optimal growth I figured that all mj must be grown up in the mountains or something. Sh*t... If 72-78 is optimal. Then I would think a lot more places in the United States would have mj growing naturally. That is another question . Y don't we see weed growing naturally in the u.s. I've never been on the highway and just seen weed growing. Unless people plant it I've never seen it grow by itself.

There was a pretty much a nation wide sweep of it back in the day and it has never grown like a "weed" again in the USA. I am pretty sure there are a lot of other places in the world where it does grow like a weed. Other places grow it like a crop, like in Jamaica, but I am sure it grows naturally there as well.

Wow, I would think that would be pretty hard to do.. eradicate an entire species. Even so , with all the people smoking in the u.s. we should have imported enough to sustain a natural growing species by now.. it reminds me of a show I used to watch on animal planet. These guys went around catching all sort of snakes in Florida that are not native to that region or our country as a whole for that matter , I believe they where catching mostly burmees pythons ( pretty sure I spelled burmees wrong) but I'm sure some of u know of the snake I'm referring to. But anyway burmees pythons were imported to the u.s mostly as pets , however due to many people Letting there snakes run free, or escaped pets or whatever the burmees pythons have adapted and are now reproducing on their own. Why hasn't the weed done the same, I sat on my porch and threw seeds from my weed out into my lawn and soil for years .. never once did I ever see a sprout. Mj must be a fussy plant, it needs human interferrence or atleast a helping hand at germination. Atleast in my experience , but maybe it has something to do with where I live .. not exactly the great outdoors , walk to my corner and there's a few bus lines , cabs, airplanes flying overhead, prostitutes (not the kind of pollution u typically think of but they're pretty dirty too lol) And pretty much a lot of pollution lol. And I live in one of the cleaner areas of my city. So maybe that's y ill never see much more wildlife than the occasional squirrel or stray cat. Shit.. in the last few years possums and racoons have started popping up over here. U should see people scream and run when they see one, u would think they got shot lol... I'm not gonna lie, I don't really fuk with them sh*ts either lol,City life I guess.

If you saw weed growing wild what would you do with it? Smoke it up. Thats why you don"t see it. Someone else did. Oh yeah I use the paper bag method. Dry til stem breaks then put in jar. Also LST is awesome for keeping your canopy even.

Johnny k. At one point or another I should have been that somebody else and smoked the weed I found lol, but even if somebody did find weed growing , what are the odds that it will be flowering or even close to to being smokeable... But whatever , I need to get that outta my head , weed will never b like Apple trees or a berry Bush that u can find any and everywhere smh.

$30 bottles of nutes? I wish they were all $30. They start at $30 and go up to $90, and that is for the small 250 ml bottle. H&G nutes be pricey, but I still fucks with em. :dunce:
