So stoked. Being where I live, I can find some sweet strains from time to time.
I came across a newer way of growing our ladies call a -
Passive plant killer.(PPK) promising - its a COCO ,hempy,top fed set up with a air gap between the root and Res.. Working on building my 1st one. Has only been around a few years and has already grown some Monster ladies. Using only jacks and cal-mag.
Way easy grow set up. Can't wait to try for myself.

you dont know how lucky you are man, i wish it was that easy for me to share genetics. that does sound interesting though, it sounds like a little bit of soil and a little bit of hydro. could be impressive, may look into trying something like that next year, i gotta ol bubble bucket in my garage and i could probably just try perlite rather than coco. im always stoppin on here too, i used to grow super silver(im an ex sativa lover myself lol) so i love watching the other phenos i could have gotten, that gk was pretty sweet looking too. btw, look into killing fields if you wanna try another sat, you wouldnt regret it. they can really pay off with that extra week or two of flower, yield and potency wise.

Here are my new toys- Freshly built and glues a drying.


Basics of this system is a
main res- RED/green lid

control bucket - witha float valve auto feed


- PPK bucket with res-


Top wetting pulse pump.


The Idea being
I'm going 100% coco ( Can be done with many other mixes )
Feeding only Jacks Pro Hydro and Cal/Mag

A plant in the top bucket with a coco wick leading into the
bottom bucket which has a air gap between the coco and water.
The level of water in the bottom buckets are kept using a control bucket with
a float valve auto feed.
control bucket is fed from the main res which can be filled and will
keep the plants auto feed and on auto pilot for days on end if need be.
Pulse wetting the top (a few ounces every few hours while lites on )
-The pump being the only power needed and is optional-
Again read the link as I wont do it justice if I try to say any more. lol

I also plan on using a couple other pots as well

Even I should be able to keep this simple. Atleast the 1st grow. lol I have spent the last 2 weeks reading this 250 page thread
and cant even tell you how dank the set up runs. Im still going ta grow in and work on understanding organic soil and feeds
yet this PPK system will do just fine for yield and ease.

a cross between soil and hydro sounds pretty incredible. itll be sweet since you can also incorporate organics, id say worm castings and high N guano for veg, blood meal/bone meal and high P and K guano for flower, used it for years and im still psyched how the results turn out. btw what strain are you gonna use?

2 Blue ATF
2 Kong
Not that I want a huge grow right now. I would like to grow them Micro style and am hoping
to be able to do another seed grow. Blue dream male would be the bomb. Seed 2 plantz of each strain.
While growing a couple of each fem in micro for a taste and good show.

I figure I will skip the SSH this run as the 100+ day flowering is killing me.
( already have over 60 really good looking SSH seed ) I will end up with 120-150 seed off her.
Might end up using them in trades.

- I bought and yet to grow.
My GK-SSH-SourD seeds are crossed with unknown sativa.

If I cross my my seeds with BlueDream im back at 110-120 day ladies again...lol
Chit. lol All I know is I want more Kong and BATF seeds.lol No way to controle the outcome with only 2 seeds each.
All could be male... then what.. hahaha

you never know, could get a short flowering pheno if your lucky. highly doubt all are gonna be male, you gotta be super unlucky for that to happen. sound like some good crosses though. and shes good, slowly but surely getting back to veg, ill update once theres any real progress. and shit, they just completely stopped? thats odd. whats your soil lookin like?

The soil is dence and holds way to much water. Its the moss I put in it-wayyyyy to much moss.. Oh well live and learn.

noice! and just poke holes in your soil and fill em with perlite/vermiculite, thats how i usually go about making my soil aerated when it really starts to turn into a rainy season down here. perlite is a life saver.

on the old grow so Im just going to let these ladies finish on their own terms and start fresh with micro coco PPK.

its your choice, i wouldnt waste my supplies on a sinking ship if i was building a new yacht myself, if you catch my drift. hope all goes well with the new grow though, id just harvest whatever you got now if these girls arent makin progress, your just addin money to your electric bill if theyre not.

at least you got somethin, im sittin here veggin my girls and waiting for fall to come around. ill be sittin pretty in a month or two though, so no worries. you should pop a few of those beans and see how they turn out, id pop like 10 so you can see all the phenos.

it was, its almost as if you didnt inhale smoke. but after you hold it in for a minute it sort of sets in, i cant wait till i can actually flower her completely rather than being forced to harvest 40 day old buds. its whatever. and nice, i love jacks for their price honestly, that shit is great. use it in moderation although, i only used like 1/4 of probably what i should have, still got a tiny bit of tip burn but thats what i shoot for. just enough to be noticeable when you look close. bet that PPK is gonna turn out killer, may have to try it myself if i can make that investment, i got a DWC bucket im gonna play around with to get a feel for hydro, been growin organic for almost 3 or 4 years now so itll take some extra attention for sure. i got like 4 strains for this season, one is a cross with my blueberry, i think the male i crossed it with was auto, or it just flowered fast as shit, the others are all semi auto/light sensitive strains. ill post a link in my sig once i decide to pop those beans.

cause I like the control of when to flower. Same with fems. I only have one set of fem seeds. B.A.T.F.
I only picked up a pound each on the Jacks - cal/mag so going lite on the feed and work my way up.
Tested the PPK set up and its good ta go-no leaks and really like the way you can keep the same water level in all pots from one control bucket. Even different size pots right next to each other- that and if I hand top water there are no pumps.
I bet you would kill them ladies in the PPK. lol Not much cost really.
4x 5gal buckets-1/4" tubing-5x car tire stems for drainage and some good glue. Just not much to these things..lol

talking K.I.S.S x 100 lol... Think the PPK setup cast as much as my coco...
That killed me. $24 bucks for House & Garden coco. ouch
$26 for jacks mail ordered... so Id say under $100 for everything ya need minus seed.
Talk about expandable too 2 buckets and a piece of tubing. what like 9 bucks...

I would bet you already have most the things ya need laying around the house.
I looked hard at DWC buckets just never jumped on it ... Who knows, somewhere down the road maybe.
All I know is im stoked and ready for this next grow. Can ya imagine KONG male crossed the Blue Alaskan Thunderfuck fem.
Talk about some nice seed....lol I have not been to a dispensary since I cut my SSH so I keep forgetting about the clones and teens out there. errrr I need more space...lol Ok with that Im off. catch ya on the rebound bro..

she was reveggin so i was just like fuck it ive used all these nutes i may as well get some sort of product. it got me high, thats all that really matters i guess. it was like a sativa high since none of the THC degraded really, maybe a 1:20 ratio on the red hairs to white ones. and some are pretty good, i know what you mean but if your guaranteed to get more than two oz in like 60 days or so, im down to get some of those beans. im gonna do some research on those ppk systems next season though, just as soon as i play with hydro probably. sounds pretty cheap to setup though, i got some buckets lying around in my garage somewhere. as for DWC, ive been seeing good results lately, fast growth too. and id take advantage of those dispensaries, if i could id be buyin myself some top shelf herijuana beans, that strain blows my mind but i gotta wait till i got some dough to make some orders from sannies or royal canadian marijuana collective, they got heri beri(heri x blueberry), buds looked like some super fat indicas, almost as if they get fatter towards the top of the buds. all in good time, thats all i gotta say.
