They are sold out. I will call tomorrow and see if it will be for long. It's a good thing for this thread cuz I was looking at a 13 seer unit before.

you can get a muti room mini split ac. it has one outside unit and up to 4 inside units and allows a lot of flexibility. my electric bill dropped $34 when i went from a 5500btu wall ac to a12000btu inverter minisplit, the perfect amount to add another 1k light.

I would love a multiroom or dual zone, triple zone unit. Problem is a dual zone is twice the price, lol. Don't see the savings and I am poor as shit. lol. I just figured I would buy them one at a time and line them up outside. lol.

I've been considering this flexibility and a/c placement concern. If I wanted two decent sized manageable rooms, how do I cool them both? Rather than have 2 units, one for each room... How about using 1 unit to fill an adjacent COLD "lung-room" 24/7. Then I could direct the air to a nighttime flower room... and then switch the a/c direction during a different daytime flowering room cycle, as well. running a crop during the day and another at night will cut down on total cooling requirements for any given cycle. two room, 24/7 flower also may cut down on the human work load relating to each crop at any one moment.

you still need ac during lights off if ising a sealed room. if you want total control of temps for two room, get a 4 room mutizone, like a 36kbtu outdoor and 4 inside 9kbtu head units. you will have 2 indoor uniys per room and have one set for when lights come on and one for when lights go off. thats the worst thing about minis, can not set for different temps.

I just got off the phone with mini-split warehouse. He said the senville will not be in stock til mid next month and the prices pretty much of all mini's are going up. The way he explained the seer number to me is that for every seer over 13, you can roughly expect to save $10/per month per seer. So a 19 seer mini-split will be roughly $60 cheaper per month!!

That explains the confusion on efficiency. 13 seer units are not that expensive at all. 19 seer units are. Now I have to find a decent place that has units in stock. The other one I just picked out, just went up a few hundred. Looks like I will be shopping around tonight online.

that blows that they are jacking the prices. must have to do with demand during prime season. thanks for efficiency explanation on seer-rating.

theres a sleep mode on most that drops the temp a few degrees and you can set it up on timer to come on after the lights go out (atleast i can do all this with my units i dno if they all have it)

i had to wait to get mine as well it took like a month but it was well worth the wait, but that definatly sucks that there raising the prices must be due to summer time... if you want to wait till the end of the season (which might suck) but you could prolly get them for 3-500 dollars cheaper but i dunno if your garden can handle the heat of summer

main reason higher seer rated units are more expensive is the inverter system.it takes ac and converts it ti dc so it can slow the compressor in stead of turning in off. this prevents the startup surge needed, and provides longer lifespan for components because of less stress of starting and stopping. sleep mode is not enough of a temp change, 10-14* is best. also with the inverter style you can not use a room controller, it just cuts power to whatever it controls and by doing this it completely washes away any electric savings.

so it would be a challenge to run days at 75 and drop to 65 at night? this could save heating costs w the inverter during the winter if this could be done. attempting to imagine several scenarios with say ie two gardens and separate veg area too. was thinking one unit 24k btu in main flo (nightshift) and another same unit in cold/warm Lung-Room to re-direct wherever as needed with a few timers, ducting and fans. details are missing just trying to have max versatility w modest med garden(s).

what do ya think KF 420... Anyone?

i used to run a lung room and i wasn't that happy with it im much more happy with what im doing now with the a/c in each room

lol if you really need it to drop that much you can always just take the remote and set it for a lower temp when the lights go off and change it back when they come on, but with the sleep mode it works for me and the results that im getting are the best ive gotten ever as far as bud structure and resin production... also you would have to be running your room at 80 -85 degrees day temp to drop it 10-14 degrees without your plants turning purple due to cold temp 68 and below will turn a plant purple that isn't supposed to be... i prefer to run it 76-77 day temp and drop it to 72 at night rooms that are running 85 will have fluffier buds even running co2

82 lights on, 68 lights off. in nature it cools off at night a little more than 4-6*. this also allows a savings of electric by not needing water chiller full time. its all personal preference. as far as changing temp, not always are we available and its nice to getout of town, so using the remote doesnt help. i have the wired in wall tstat for my lg minisplit and i have an ir to wifi setup along with an app on my android pad that allows me to change temps from anywhere, along with the camera its a very easy way to be gone and not worry or to find out if there is a problem.

I have four lights air cooled with a 10' vortex. I got that portable ac unit from fatmarty (thanks again brother), I just got my temp down to 77. I unplugged one of the raptors last night thought. So that's 3k watts anyway. I am pretty damn happy. I should have a few days to figure this ac situation now. If I leave this room air cooled, I will not need a 24000 btu. But if I get one anyway, then later when I finish my second room, my lights won't be air cooled, so Ill move the 24000 to that room then get a dual climate 24000 for the bud room with the air cooled bud room and my veg room both.
