Whats going on guys? I need some help and if anyone of you could give me some advice, it would be greatly appreciated. I am currently on probation, because a yr ago, I was charge with small possession of marijuana. I know, ridiculous. I still smoked, but always stopped at least a wk before I knew I was going to get tested by my probation officer, so I could clean my system. It's been working fine for the past 10 months, and I've always pass my drug tests. A week ago, I pulled something on my back from working out. I have no health insurance, so my mom gave me a pill that was prescribed to her for pain. Fast forward a few days later, I went into my PO's office for the usual drug screen, my test came back positive for Opioid and Benzo. Now I've been ordered to turn myself in until I see the judge in a few wk, unless I have a prescription for whats been found in my system. Words cant even began to express how I am feeling right now. I damn sure don't wanna go to jail. I could loose my job and everything. I've done research online, and found out that there are plenty of over the counter medicine, and even some of the food that we eat can cause a positive result for opioid.

Give it to me straight please. Has anyone been in this situation? And were you able to get out of this without going to jail? if so, how did you do it?

You will be able to challenge the test on the basis that it was a false positive, but the fact that you have no prescription for the drug you took means that this may not help you. If you saw a doctor about your injury then you may be able to argue, but without a prescription for a drug which would give a false positive you may just have to see what they say.
Good luck.

Ummm, I was in extreme pain. It was unbearable. Getting tested for that crap was the last thing going thru my mind when I took the pill.
There is no single pill that'll make you test for opioids AND benzos several days later. I suspect your story is a bit sanitized. That helps explain my apparent lack of sympathy.
I have been in extreme pain as well. That motivated me to get my own prescription, back when I had health insurance. Now I just grit my teeth. You are not the victim in this story. If you learn no other lesson, please: that one. cn

It wasn't 10 days later. I was tested on tuesday, and I took the pill on sunday. There's no reason for me to come to a forum about Marijuana, and lie to you people.

I re-read and edited when I realized i was mistaken about the ten days. But now you're shrinking "a few" days into two.

You've still not explained how one pill can make you test positive for opioids and benzos.

But that is all a side issue. If you're on probation, you are under a higher standard of care in terms of taking controlled substances to which you do not have a current prescription. I wish I could give you positive or encouraging advice, but we're two (?) days late for that. Life's lessons are not always gentle. i don't like it either, but ... there it is. That said, I actually do hope you do beat this on a technicality (I bear you no ill will) ... and then i hope you'll be chastened into being a bit more careful when you know you're being watched. And probation emphatically satisfies that category. cn

you can buy strong codiene based pain killers over the counter in the chemist but why was there benzo in a pain killer?

i dont see why some people think probation is a joke its there for a reason not so people can get caught say sorry and it all better if you dont want the time dont do any drugs harder that asprin no reason to wine about it when you know your the one who fucked up

Look bud, you fucked up man, you know you shouldn't have taken any pills that weren't prescribed to you especially if they were pain pills that will show up. Why did you even bother to ask this forum about what should I do and shit, you made a bad choice, face it. I don't care how much pain I was in if I knew I had to see my P.O in 2 days shit i would never do that. I was on papers for over a year and every month I knew you had to piss in that cup. (I still smoked everyday and failed 10 outta 14 tests). Boi I wish people would think. But here's the bottom line you fucked up you gotta go to jail, plus look at the bright side its only county not prison.
