Alright like the title says fuck my life, im second week into flowering and heats fucking me... HARD never mind all the details its my first grow i bought a piece of shit swamp cooler and it sucks i need real good advice thanks man

i have a really small window tho so i dont know if itll fit.

the window is 12in wide and 23 in tall. can i put the ac in side ways?im fucking lost guys and need help so come thru like always riu.

No, it will not work sideways. You maybe able to run it like that for a bit but the unit does collect water that will end up just dumping all over the place and frying it.

There are some that are free standing units and you run a hose out the window I've used one for yrs and they work great, can't remember where I got it but if you search the web I'm sure you'll find one.

Sorry if I sound stupid but I don't know much bout usin A/C units since it doesnt get hot enuf here in socal, but I have this everstar portable A/C unit not a swamp cooler or window swamp cooler its 8k btu, someone gave it to me so I was lookin how much its worth, i've seen ppl tryin to sell em used for around $100-200, or brand new I think its like $350.

Where in SoCal do you live where it doesn't get hot enough to worry about the heat? I'd think outside temps of 100+ for days, sometimes weeks on end would be considered hot.

Try craigslist, 10,000 btu+ units, since the BTU rating is taken without the exhaust duct in place, which greatly lowers the efficiency of these units.

I use the same one in my 7x4x7 grow tent. I had trouble with the little unit keeping the tent below 75. But then I realized my exhaust fan was sucking out the air faster than the ac could pump in. Try turning down your exhaust. Now my ac chills the tent to 70 deg. No B.S here. Also my 750watt hood seems cooler due to the cooler room temps!. Good luck!
