One of the more intelligent posts I've seen from you!

The congress CAN declare war (not must)
The congress CAN (not must) establish post offices and postal roads.

BTW, thanks Bucky!
they probably slipped in that thing about the post office because they totally didn't want to see any post offices.

beenthere logic.

It is Constitutionally mandated that Congress has the power to declare war. ( and if needed they will )
It is Constitutionally mandated that Congress power has the power to establish post office and postal roads. ( and because needed they did)

Congress power! So, according to your thinking, congress should be declaring war on everybody. If they are mandated to do it, they must obey. Right?

noun 1. ability to do or act; capability of doing or accomplishing something.

2. political or national strength: the balance of power in Europe.

3. great or marked ability to do or act; strength; might; force.

4. the possession of control or command over others; authority; ascendancy

Dude, this whole mandate debate is on the premise that congress can or cannot abolish the USPS, I say they can, you seem to think the US constitution forbids them.

You are wrong.

no silly ...if they need to use this constitutionally mandated power to declare war they can... Congress was given the power to declare war and the president was given the power to wage war

Exactly. Thank you for making my point. The Constitution gives congress the power to establish and maintain a post office, it does NOT say that there MUST BE a post office. The Constitution also gives congress the power to coin money and regulate the value of. Do they do that? No. They gave that up to the Federal Reserve.

Wow unfuckingbelievable..Do you understand the phrase "the power to coin money and to regulate the value of" it simply means that Congress makes the decision on the type coinage, its value, weight, size, etc...it stops states from making there own money so every one in the USA is using the same thing with the same value. Don't confuse what the Federal Reserve does with what Congress and the U.S. Treasury does.

I agree.

And under the same powers awarded by artical1 section 8 of the US Constitution, the congress also has the power to end the USPS.
Look at the wording... Congress imposes taxes .... they establish postal service...I can easily impose (enforce or force) a tax of 5% or impose(enforce or force )no tax. but if I got rid of the postal service that would be the opposite of establish would it not. They are suppose to establish, not get rid of.

You're missing the key element in your wording, power.
Article 1 section 8 gives congress the power to lay and collect taxes and the power to establish post offices.
