My favorite line: "rich and poor waiting in line." So what, a rich person should receive care quicker than a poor one?
He did not say that. You're trying to put words in his mouth. That's dishonest. If you have insurance, you'll get treated. Under Obamacare, if you don't have insurance, you still won't get treated

Hey when did Charles Dickens write a Christmas Carol?

When Scrooge is visited by The Ghost of Christmas Present he is shown just how ill Tim really is, and that Tim will die unless he receives treatment (which the family cannot afford due to Scrooge's miserliness). When visited by The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come all he sees of Tim is his crutch, as Tim has died. This, and several other visions, led Scrooge to reform his ways. At the end of the story, Dickens makes it explicit that Tim did not die, and Scrooge became a "second father" to him.

I know you're only 17, but are you really that stupid?
im more than 30 years older than 17

And the goverment does not set healthcare pricing
If you are talking about medicare
They pay less than insurance
And with the reforms that have been happening
Doctors arent getting away with coding "errors"

President had nothing to do with raising or lowering our credit rating That job falls on congress Hmm What party was it blocking a debt ceiling increase? Anyone? I think the credit agency even listed who it was they blamed and it wasnt the president or anyone with a D in front of their name
Typical of you. Our credit rating was lowered because of our debt. Increasing our level of debt would make it worse, not better. UncleShitBritches sock puppet.

Charles Dickens was writing about a time before Health insurance
when there was no "guberment" interference with healthcare

Without a operation tiny tims family couldnt afford and insurance Scrooge didnt carry for his employees
Tiny tim was gonna die

Is that your vision for America?

So glad you moved to Mexico
Which is funny
They have goverment healthcare there
Which even you can get as a non citizen

That's what we used to do before the government got involved. You didn't hear anyone complaining like now.
You mean like pre-1800? The quality of care then was so poor it wasn't useful except in the simplelist of cases. Most people who got sick either recovered on their own or died.

Wrong.

Our credit rating was lowered because republicans were blocking efforts to raise the debt ceiling.

We have had debt since 1791, its nothing new.

Reading the S&P announcement a little more carefully, we want to point out this section, which pins a good deal of the blame for the downgrade on Washington:
The political brinksmanship of recent months highlights what we see as America's governance and policymaking becoming less stable, less effective, and less predictable than what we previously believed. The statutory debt ceiling and the threat of default have become political bargaining chips in the debate over fiscal policy. Despite this year's wide-ranging debate, in our view, the differences between political parties have proven to be extraordinarily difficult to bridge, and, as we see it, the resulting agreement fell well short of the comprehensive fiscal consolidation program that some proponents had envisaged until quite recently. Republicans and Democrats have only been able to agree to relatively modest savings on discretionary spending while delegating to the Select Committee decisions on more comprehensive measures. It appears that for now, new revenues have dropped down on the menu of policy options. In addition, the plan envisions only minor policy changes on Medicare and little change in other entitlements, the containment of which we and most other independent observers regard as key to long-term fiscal sustainability.
Our opinion is that elected officials remain wary of tackling the structural issues required to effectively address the rising U.S. public debt burden in a manner consistent with a 'AAA' rating

The level of debt IS new. Repeating the same falsehood doesn't make it true, it just makes you look stupid.

A lot of people who got medical care back then

Died because of the medical care

Barber poles are red and white
Becuase barbers also used to be doctors
And their number one treatment for anything
was bleeding you

Didn't answer my question at all. A length of time is what I asked for. Wasn't your wife anyway.
apart from letting people who can't pay die how does your system of healthcare improve transplant rates?

it didn't have to be my wife for me to point out your idiocy

Yes, but S&P ratings are of dubious value in any case. Those CDOs that drove the mortgage crisis usually got excellent ratings even as they unraveled. S&P do not behave like true independents. cn
