Nice find. I am a fan of rails. Seems unnecessary that they would include fans, or it should be, so maybe zero money spent on heat sinks. Alas, 2 are $400, which means pricing hasn't come down since I bought my UFO 90 ~3 years ago. But then, one of these will probably kick its' little round ass.
Hey man, those UFO panels have nothing to do comparing to these ones. All UFO panels, and almost every panel available out there, are made from almost same manufacturers in China, all using same components... almost all of them, with bridgelux or epistar leds... which have much lower efficiency compared to a CREE led, or an Osram led. Also, those leds are 3 times cheaper... that's whay those are the ones mostly used for panels seeking only profit, not performance. If you want extreme performance, no chinese panel will give you that, and you can go to any lantern forums and check what i'm telling here, they are the ones who know best about different types of leds performance, and for them, chinese leds, are just a waste of money, not that they are bad, just not as efficient as we want them to be. CREE, Osram, Seoul and Lumileds, are the only ones that are going to give you the EXTRA performance one is looking when switching to LED technology... all of the rest, will at the best, equal HPS technology, but will probably not outperform it.

These are like the best chinese panels i think are available right now. This company is one of the oldest ones developing led technology in China, their panels also come with an 8W Cree led in the center of each module to give extra lumen output. Of course, they would have to be proven by someone to get real conclusions, but for me, if you are going for chinese panels, these ones are probably the very best chinese you could find, and also, directly with the manufacturer where you will get the best prices.
Awesome buds Chirulazo, congrats. You seem to be a great grower too
This comforts my idea that those panels are probably some of the best on the market right now. The cooling system seems a bit sketchy though. But if it works who's going to complain?
Thanks man, but in this case, most of the credit goes to Hans heheh... really, his panels are trully awsome, have no doubt they work, and that they work just fine, and most important, they work for flowering, which is always the main doubt about LED technology.
I've been puting more atention to this grow tho... trying to take it to the next level. All my previous grows were more "amateur" like. This time i tried to do things better to bring the most out of these panels and to see what they are made of. Seems that the hard work is paying off... but as i told you, big part of my results, i have to give credit to Hans, really, those panels are doing most of the work.
I have a concern... i read a post of someone saying that he was glad that at last he was seeing an unbiased grower using Hans panels... are there biased growers showing journals with Hans panels?? haven't seen those....
By the way, and for the record, i am totally unbiased, i live in a little country totally away from were everything is happening haha... you can take my opinions and experiences totally for real and as a personal experience only.
And the last thing i wanted to mention, soon i will be having my final results, and i was wondering, with PSU's permission, and if people are interested, if maybe i could post my progress here in order to contribute to the test. That way, all of the community could be getting 2 tests at the price of one! hehe and that way get a better idea of what we are talking about here
Cheers
