Hey guys. Since PSU gave me permission to submit updates of my experience with Hans panels here.. then, i will make use of this permission and post some pictures of how things are going.
First, let me tell you PSU, that as you told me, i'm also really glad to find someone else using these panels so we can have some feedback and share our experiences. You were asking about the height i use the panel... well, since it has a pretty wide angle, i try to use them as close as i can... but, my set up is different from yours, my panels fit almost exactly into my space, so i have almost no light loss, every single photon ends up hiting the plants... i belive this is the best way to get the best results out of this panels, squeezing every single photon it emits and condensate them in a small space completely saturated with light. That, in my opinion, will help to deliver higher caliber buds, and a more dense canopy.
On another matter, i saw a post of someone saying that the wide angle wouldn't help to get a lot of penetration and so the plants wouldn't get so tall.... but my question is, we want tall plants? or we want big yields??... i dont mind having bonsai marihuana plants, as long as they deliver fat, dense, compact and heavy flowers. It´s all about using the techniques that will help your light give you the best results. In this case, any SCROG, SOG, LST techniques, would go just incredible in my opinion, trying to optimize the coverage area rather than the height. Tho, i can tell you, they do provide a really nice penetrating power, the last Critical Jack i already harvested using these panels, was a bit tall, and the growth wasn´t the best, internode spacing was big, nevertheless, lower buds developed just perfect, in fact, better i must say, than what i was used to with my ex 400W HPS.
Now, the update (pics hehe)
For the ones who saw the other pictures i uploaded, those were taken in the 47th - 48th day of flowering aprox.
The ones i´m showing now, are from today, 53 days of flowering phase aprox. One week to go i guess.
I must say again i am very pleased with their performance, buds keep getting bigger, fater and denser everyday, and the smells are getting really intense.
For the ones doubting, don´t do it, these panels meet their expectations completely, and Hans isn't promissing anything untrue about them, so PSU, you can stay completely relaxed and unconcerned about how they will perform in flowering... just do your job taking good care of the ladies and let your panel take them to glory!
And i also want to mention some things. These results i'm showing, they still have much more to be improved. Let me tell you, i´m just an average grower, nothing spectacular or anything, i'm still just learning, tuning my hand... my fertilization schedule is in total begginer level (tho i'm using high quality products, but nothing will they do, if they aren't used correctly, so, i'm just starting to "tune up" my fertilization schedule to get the max out of them)... also, i´m in full winter here., and i´m having really low temps and high humidity levels, specially in the night period, really really cold. What i´m trying to say here, is that there is much room yet to keep improving this results i´m showing. Environmental conditions could have been better, and other things like better air renewall, CO2 aditions, better ventilation, etc can be done, among other things that are yet to be improved in my set up.
So, having this result as a starting point, considering all the factors that can still be improved... really makes me very very happy, since only this result already has me really pleased, can´t imagine how will they perform in spring, when the temps start getting to more ideal levels, and also when i get more "tuned up" in my growing technique.
As soon as i have weights, i will come here to show my results. For now, just wish all the success in you grow PSU... tho i have no doubt, you will definitely succeed, unless you do a really disastrous thing that could turn the whole thing other way, which i completely doubt hahha
PS: I´m also adding 2 close up pics of another strain i´m growing, Nebula. Mostly so you can see Resin development, really nice.
Good Smokes Everynone!
