My nutsack. No seriously it's on my nutsack. It's all on my legs and arms too. This is terrible. Plus it's like 86F with 90% humidity. I'm dieing here. I'm going to have to get a shot or a pyramid pack probably. It just keeps spreading!!!!!!!!!!! It's so itchy!!!!!!!!!!! Goddamit! I'm going to puff one down and lay in a bath of salty water and try to dry the shit out. Will that work? What's your secrets??? Please tell me for the love of god!!!

I suffered with poison ivy for many years when I was a youngster at camp in the summer. I used to get weekly shots for it. Here's my suggestion: get a prescription for Prednisone. It's a corticosteroid, and works by stopping the body's reaction to the inflamation. IT WORKS GREAT FOR THIS!!!!!

Yeah dude if its that bad you're gonna have see a doc and get a steroid shot. I lucked out I'm not allergic at alll. I could roll around in the shit and not get it which is good considering I encounter it at work. Get some stuff they call "ivy block" for next time you are working anywhere near it. It's a preventative cream works really well. Over the years I've worked with guys that get it real bad and I have em use that stuff.

Thanks for the tips. In the past I've used the pyramid packs of prednisone but it makes me break out all over. So last year when I got it real bad they gave me a shot of something. I forget what it was. The only thing I know is that the insurance fuckers didn't cover it. I guess I'll just have to suck it up and get a shot again. Man is this stuff ridiculous!!!!! I guess I weed whacked the wrong weeds. :eyesmoke:

Well I've just done alittle bit of research and the best thing to do apparently is to cut off my arms, legs and nutsack. The interwebz tells me thats a pretty fast way to stop the itching. I know my hacksaw is around here somewhere....

Long pants when weed eating and change em as soon as you're done.
Edit...oh and wash your hands real good after touching the pants before touching any part of your body. Get that oil off u before it spreads. Prevention is really the only thing to control poison ivy.

I recommend you treat the affected areas with !1:1 Clorox to water. It oxidizes the toxic principles. It changes that frightful itch to a very normal sore feeling. I applied this mix as often as necessary to control itching, which could be several times a day, but it really sped healing. I also left the potion on my sores until I just couldn't bear the stinging, then rinsed with water. cn

Interesting you say that. It got to the point today that I actually had to get in one of the customers pools just to let the chlorine change the itch to a burn. If just for a time being. Hmm where is my disinfectant...
