yellowing leaves in supersoil!!! ph? burning? tap water?? help! PICS!

Hey guys so I am doing my second SS run outdoor with pretty good success, although I started noticing some yellowing from the bottom up that is kind of intriguing me. I know there is plenty of N in my soil. (I accidentally used 6 lbs. instead of 5) 1 or 2 plants are actually looking like they have too much N as they are very dark green and have the "claw" leaves, But at the same time they are yellowing from the bottom up?? They are still doing fine and green for the most part but I did not have any yellowing last time until the last half of fowering. I have narrowed it down to either,

1. Too much SS and they are burning
2. PH may be a bit off
3. I need to change my filters in my tall boy water filter and the chlorine/chloramine combined with the SS is burning them just a little. Here are the pics let me know what you guys think!!

how long have those plants been in those pots? what size are they? doubt very much its ur water or ph. probably need feeding.

I highly doubt that, they are 2-3 foot tall plants in 30 gal smart pots filled with 50% supersoil. They have not even been in those pots 2 months yet. plentttly of nutes in plain roots organic let alone SS to get them through vegging.

i disagree.....was your super soil cooked properly? for long enough?......was their a sufficient buffer.......my guess is you did not have a sufficient "composting" period, or perhaps it was long enough, but not efficient enough.......plus i think you went too heavy on your %.........you are getting an un-even absorbtion, and some lock-out.....my advice would be to find some really good water, with a low PPM, and neutral PH, and if you don't have a sufficient buffer in your soil, work some dolomite in to the top 4 inches.....then give them a good flush.......then for the next watering use a properly brewed Compost Tea, to get your herd rollin'......Disclaimer : this is just an opinion...it is what i would do if those were my girls......good luck...nugs

i see lockout mate. some clean fresh water in a reasonable ph range6.3-6.8 and drench those bitches . another question is when you transplanted did you evenly water the soil for its first watering. dry spots can cause uneven absorption and you will have what i call soil hotspots that your roots have to grow through or around......those are bad lol.

skywalker and qt in too too much s.s the qt is the lighter green. both are not very happy. the qt is from not cooking and the sw is from too much ss that was cooked properly

im running out of juice in highly amended 400 gallon containers. planted 6/1 so ya 30 gallons aint much.seems odd that after two months it would just all of a sudden start trippin. u could have presented more info too..

this is a classic case of soil PH that is too low for whatever reason.....they are absorbing plenty of N and K, but locking out P,Ca, and Mg.....a lot of growers say you don't need to pay attention to PH in a super soil set-up, but things can still get out of balance.......i still check my run-off sometimes...and always PH what goes in.....

the qt got no buffer and that mix had chicken manure in it. the generator of soil was burning the roots..

I think there are far too many variables to compare your 400 bags to my 30s. I am not sure what other info would help u guys diagnose. SS recipe followed step by step, cooked for 1 month in garbage cans. I ph to about 6.0-6.5 everytime I water. I use tap water filtered with a tall boy de-chlorinator. Thanks for the help!

The soil cooked for about 5 weeks in sealed cans. Not sure what u mean by not cooked "effeciently" enough. your remedy sounds spot on to me except loading up the top soil with more lime. I am a bit worried that maybe the soil ph is already a bit low. Maybe I will check my run-off...

I noticed first yellowing 20-25 days ago, first 45 days of vegging everything looked fine although they never really took off like I expected them too. Last year they got twice as big in pots half the size that were planted at the same time. nodes seemed to stack up fairly tight and new growth seemed a bit weak and slow, although everything was staying green and lush.
