What do you think about circumcision?

Is it actually a sound medical procedure? Is it something based solely in religious practices with hardly any foundation in science? Is it more healthy to be circumcised?

can we dispel the myths and get to the facts?

(I am circumcised, and have never really thought twice about hygiene, it's relatively easy to clean, I mean, as easy as anything else. Though I've read uncircumcised males risk transferring things like HPV to their female companions at significantly higher risks than those that are circumcised [check said article..])

My opinion is it is a medical procedure, but is it more of a psychological babywhack. I don't see why a religious figure could dictate that, whether or not the procedure is cool with me. not. heh
