Well I think the almond butter will give it a much different taste cause it doesn't have as sweet a flavor as peanut butter, but yeah that sandwich looks like it would taste like ass(to me at least), lolz. So who's kid is that Hoyce Gracie or Renzo Gracie? And damn Mantis bikram yoga is some insane shit, I used to do power yoga and they didn't have the room nearly as hot as a bikram stuido and my 1st time my head was spinning I probably would have fainted if I didn't stop, but then again I was hella fat when I started doin it.

Just found this thread. Was up to 295 pounds. I'm 6'3. Been dieting since mid spring and have gotten down to 265. Kinda hit a wall and cant get below the 265 mark. Need to decrease the food intake and increase the exercise I suppose.

Great thread. Love how everybody's encouraging one another! (almost everybody)

Subbed up to keep up my motivation. Thx padwan!
(and fuck that nerd at the school who called leo. its bullshit that you/we pay school taxes but aren't allowed to use it's facilities in a reasonable manner w/o paying more!!!)

Yeah man I was right there with u bout a year or so ago. My heaviest was around 280 and I'm only 6', but yeah this thread has helped me alot just to help keep me honest and consistent with my routine, and helped me to track my weight. Even though I've slacked off this last week or 2 and started drinking beer again, I hadn't really had any alcohol or soda in like 6 months till these last couple weeks that is, couldn't resist a few beers with the neighbors.

Messed up thing is when I started dieting I discovered I needed to switch to low sodium diet drinks cause I get kinda swollen up if I drink stuff w/ more than 3% drv of sodium in it. Sprite zero's pretty good. But I drink water a lot more than I used to. And tea.

Been walking 2.5 miles w/ the wife for the last couple of weeks. We started out w/ a mile and worked our way up. I say we and our but really she didn't need to ease into getting back into shape. My big ass did. It has helped a lot tho. The walking. And switching to wheat bread, and watching the calorie intake. But now I need to exercise my will power more than anything. Eating less and being a pot smoker have never worked for me.

I bet back in Jan./Feb, before I made an effort to start losing/stop gaining weight I was taking in 5.000+ calories a day.
Anyway.....sorry for the long post. Got stoned and rambled.
I'll start reporting in to this thread every week or so w/ any progress I do or don't make. Keeps me accountable (*sort of*)

Plus I like seeing others progress/failures to get a better gauge on my own.

Yeah I think Blazinkill said it in a post recently its better to start off slow than do too much too soon and fuck urself up, just slows u down even more.

you need to get off soda completely. It's no good for your body and hinders your progress. Stick to water.

Baby steps. Start out really slow, especially if your body isn't used to any physical activity. It's going to feel like a complete waste of time in the beginning, like you're not doing anything, but you are. doowmd has the right idea, maybe walk a mile 6 days for a couple weeks, after 2 weeks, kick it up to 2 miles a day. Each week, increase either the intensity by walking faster, or the distance by going farther.

When I started out earlier this year, the one rule I kept in my mind was go farther than you went the day before. If you steadily increase each day, your endurance and stamina will slowly build. By 4 or 5 weeks in, you'll be on a regular jogging schedule and your body will be able to handle it.

If you go too hard too quick your body will end up sore and it will sap all your motivation for the next workout.

Keep in mind your body will be using what you put into it as energy, so your workout are going to reflect it. Give it the fuel sources it needs. Try to find stuff as natural as possible with as little processing going on as you can. Meat, vegetables, fruits, that type of stuff. Grains, pasta's, pretty much anything solid white, you wanna try to avoid.

And keep posting the progress in this thread, IMO it actually does help out a lot

Went 2 miles today, did a little extra push ups, some ab exercises I don't know the name of, got tired as fuck, I usually go till I can't go anymore, and keep strained as much as possible. Form is pretty important, try to maintain that too. Been trying to focus more on abs and burning fat, I've noticed there's still a small layer that's holding me back from showing a lot of the definition. So I've been increasing the intensity over the duration. Going for like a half hour over an hour. Hopefully that burns more of the fat. I've also been trying to skip lunch, just eating a small breakfast for energy for the workout around 1 or 2, then dinner around 8. I wish I could figure out a way to maximize my energy, I was like, shaky today, felt really weird, maybe I have early onset Parkinsons..

Also been kind of focusing on the triceps, my legs are beast, chest and arms are pretty good, just abs.. eh, chest has a biit of fat still to burn too, I'd like to get a defined group of muscles, I'm going to keep up the HIT and hopefully that helps, also keep up the extra ab emphasis..

sweated my ass off in that warehouse for another night an got home an did a lil shoulder/middle back/abs workout. i have a feelin my workouts gonna be very weirdly put together till i get a membership at a 24 hour gym cause i get off at midnight. atleast i can smoke now so i havent lost much weight at all since i been slowin down on the workouts an i hate it when i dont workout it makes me feel terrible.

an kush,
pad basically said it all start off slow an always push to work yourself harder. i found this is harder said than done runnin opposed to liftin weights. just push yourself till you literally cant jog/run anymore then walk an control your breathin. some like in thru the nose an out thru the mouth, but i like in an out of the nose makes me lower my heart rate faster. also eat wisely an if you do all that you'll be feelin the progress in no time!

If ur running one tip this track coach told me, back in the day. Have a set point on the horizon and bring ur hands up to that point each time. At the same time u wanna breath to a steady rhythm, try to breath thru ur nose in the beginning and once u get winded in thru the nose and out thru the mouth is easier like Blazin said. And hey at least ur different font keeps us off guard, Lolz.

another thing to remember when you jog/run dont kick your feet back far as fuck its bad for your knees. keep them with a small bend an that way you're savin your knees an gettin more steps in. lol i know right i cant wait to get a few checks so i can get a new laptop! damn gumbo spillin on my keyboard!

Hello boys... TTT has been feeding me well, so skinnydown, I must!

I did an hour of aerobics and an hour of yoga on the Wii, followed by 39 crunches, 6 fail pushups, 5 minutes of jumping jacks, 50 painful squats and 2 hours of bike riding yesterday. Ate lean chicken breast, frie s and a large banana/kiwi/apple smoothie with greek style yoghurt. And a sweet pepper. I may be starting 2 hours of pole dancing/aerial hoop once a week as well as 1 hour 45 minutes of ballet a week seeing as I''m not horseriding much lately.

Been dong a bit of trapeze but I have big bulky powerful thigh muscles I'm trying to stretch and lengthen, being pulled up by pretty small torso. ( 20-21 inch thigh, when I'm 33 inches across the chest, 23 in waist) Pretty typical pear shape. Don't really want to bulk up the top half too much, but need to find ways of burning fat off my butt/thighs without bulking up the existing muscle even more.

you usually eat well like that all the time? maybe paleo diet would suit you well. if you wont wanna add more muscle i dunno besides makin your workouts a little more intense aka less rest between sets/workouts. fuck the jumpin jacks get a jump rope. ill give you somethin to try but id only do it once a week that way you can see your progression an when you find a goal you like stop on that.

in 20 minutes do as many reps as you can in that time of 5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 squats. once you do all 3 of those that counts as one rep.

warnin that lil innocent lookin workout gets hard as fuck due to the whole goal is get as many reps in as you can in the 20 minute time frame.

Oooohhhh. the pullups, how they hurt my chest. But yeah, I need to build up that upper body strength, especially if I'm going to continue with the trapeze stuff.

My ballet lessons are super hardcore strength/flexibility training, so I guess my own routine at home gets a bit.. feeble. Pullups are definitely on the cards, Pushups I might need some screaming at to persevere with.

No I don't lol. I'm weird, I go days without eating and then I can either cook really good for you stuff like udon in broth, lean chicken, homemade fries, smoothies and salads or the complete opposite end of the spectrum and eat crazy junk food. I suppose I need to find some sort of happy medium. Paleo diet at least temporarily might be beneficial. I'm looking at the more low-carb version. I do love plain fruit, fish and meat... I can do without alot of processed foods. Actually, maybe I should cut down on the refined sugar...

well even tho fruit is good for you an good tastin i try an limit it as much as i can cause of the sugar. most ppl dont realize they can get more potassium out of kale than you can bananas its just bananas have sugar in them an you want that sugar. yea the diet will help you a lot more than you'd think with that body fat. plus doin that will make you have a more steady level of energy thru the day. its funny i see ppl at work go to lunch an eat fried foods an shit from fast food places an when they get back out to work they're all tired an slow. i eat some tuna an harvest chedder sun chips an some subway an im fine! workin harder than all of them actually lol.
