actually the story itself is not really that fake. i knew this kid that sorta did that before. i just changed the details like the snitches name and made up his uncle. he did actually get in trouble. they got him right when he left the bar because police were outside waiting. they got the money back from him by matching the numbers. they actually just gave him drunken disorderly in exchange for a guilty plea since he didnt have a record. they also gave him a higher fine than normal, more probation, and he spent the night in jail right after they got him so they gave him credit for a day served. he was originally facing a conspiracy charge and something like petty theft.

Yeah, I know it's very possible for people to be this stupid. It was primarily the way in which you presented the story that made it seem unrealistic. And when you started talking about killing yourself I went from 90 to 100% sure that you were being facetious.
