Wondering how long to veg for a 1~2 foot plant.

Serious question, sorry if it seems retarded. I am trying to grow 1~2 foot plants (3~4ft max). So how long should I veg guys?
I got them on 24/7 light. CFLs. 3x Spirals, 1x Tube.
Adding a 150 watt HPS in 6 days.
They're about 2 inches tall currently, got about 3~5 sets of leaves each. Adding nutes at about 5~6 sets each.

Let me know how long to veg, and then throw them into budding. Thanks.

Also would have gone with auto-flowers if I could, I really am on a small budget however and used seeds from previous plants.

im more than serious, i grow with 600w hps and i can flip to 12/12 with clones at 4inches, 8 weeks later there 5ft pluss

That's 15x. You stretch the shit out of them then. 2x and 3x is normal 15x in 8 weeks is a string that could snap is a fly lands on it

1) Much of it is strain dependent.
2) Damn near everyone will tell you they will stretch 2-3x during flower period.

If I were you I would make the switch when they reach 12" tall. In fact, that's exactly what I did if you check out my journal!

FWIW, even making the switch at 12" tall, I don't expect my Master Kush to reach more than 18" or so. It hasn't grown much vertically recently. Even the description from Nirvana says:

"They show very little stretch, ending up at about 16 inches."

I'm gonna say this might just be accurate info

this! not sure I would go 12" with unknown genetics though I think 6" is plenty some plants will jump a foot some will jump 3 all depends on the strain. I would go 12/12 at 6" and hope to end tween 1.5-3 ft. as an estimate. Imo a new gower runs out of space quick I rather see a newb fiish a successful grow that maybe could have yeilded more than finish a pain in the ass stressfull grow

I personally like 16-18 inches... I find leggy plants to be annoying, and I like my buds tight. For me that usually takes 60 days from the day I cut my clones.

You say you want 1-2 foot plants but can go up to 4. So I say top the shit out of them and let grow to 10-12" then flower. This will give you between 20-36" plants. But a ton of branches. Smaller colas but about the same as a tree if done right. And no a 4" plant will not grow to 5 foot.

lol she giggles, at 8weeks mr the stem is as thick as your thumb and with branches on branches on branches, im an hydro grower we grow big plants :roll:
