misleading weight

mj weight can be so misleading. i like when ppl say they got a pound per light(which many ppl do with ease), but it's wet as fuck when they weigh it, almost to the point where it's non smokable. when you buy or sell your stuff, how wet is it usually?

personally, i like it bone dry. little harsher, even after a long cure, but it seems to get me the highest. probably because the less % water, the higher % other chemicals like THC etc. just shitty how so many growers mislead people. i guess unless they want it wet.

min i like the bud to be a little crispy, but still moist,ish in the middle..

i tell ya tho ya some people weigh theyre ish wet... for sure buffs up the numbers alot... but i think a lb dried flowers is reasonable to get from a avg. horizontal lighted 1000 watt grow with decent skills not at all unreasonable.

Can you smoke water? no.

water does effect your thc%. the more water, the less thc. if you let the moisture out more, thc and all the other chemicals are increasing in %. if you have 1 gram of wet weed and 1 gram of dry weed, same strain and same conditions besides moisture, the dryer bud will always have more thc than a wet bud because the water takes up weight. one problem is, some people like it a little wet cause then it's not too harsh. i had a just of some stuff that i had curing for almost 2 years, it was extremely harsh. i still have some of it left. still potent as fuck though.

Dry! The herb need to be dry, to the point of crisping apart when the calyx clusters are pulled on. A good 2 week cure will also help.

I kind of have stashes everywhere. I have 3 big jars each with less than an ounce inside. I smoke out of them. I also harvest a plant every 2-3 weeks. Thanks to medical laws, weed is an endless supply. its to the point where certain friends will give me weed if i ran out cause we always trade nugs of new strains anyway. Fuck dispensaries, rip off.

when it comes to this, theres those who know, and those who dnt. Those who prefer wet weed bc it last longer, dnt know. And i learned first hand last year that ppl in my area, are quite dumb when it comes to weed. My weed that was cured right, with even moisture content was too dry for them and burned fast. No it burned even. But this person starts selling, premature( not super early but nonetheless early), wet weed. and ppl are raving about it bc its stinky and sticky. The bud i sell, i will no longer extensively care about it, for my customers. I plan to merely meet there expectations, as if is were any better, they still wouldnt know the difference so whats it matter. The bud I keep, Ill Take all the necessary actions to make it the best i can. But the rest are getting what they consider to be good bud. Why put in the extra effort for ppl who dnt care

To start with dope that is wet has no less THC than dry, thats just bullshit your making up as your going along. Its the strain and health of the plant at harvest that produces max THC not drying methods. Dope that is cured does taste better but it doesn't magically increase in THC after harvest.The only misleading thing here is your opinion.

You totally missed the point.

the reason he was saying that 1 gram of dry bud is more potent then 1 gram of wet bud is because 1 gram of wet bud is not 1 gram at all.
it might actually be 0.75 grams of bud and 0.25 grams of water.
While the 1 gram of dry bud is actually 1 gram of bud.

Were talking weight to potency ratio here.
as the bud drys, the potency may stay the same, but the weight decreases.
so gram for gram, it is more potent.
1.5 grams soon becomes 1 gram
so that 1 gram becomes as potent as the 1.5 gram was.

daturabuzz is correct. Maybe it was just a bit hard to understand what (s)he meant. They never said it's actually producing more THC. When your bud dries/loses water, it loses mass. The amount of THC stays the same, it does not increase potency. Now say you make a pie chart of everything in that bud. You got your THC, many other cannabinoids, water, all kinds of other shit. Now if you were to take away a % of that water, every other % goes up because it has to equal 100%. He is really just saying if you buy a bag that is dry, your probably buying more THC than a bag of the same weight that is wet. I think they are just trying to tell everyone your getting a better bang for your buck if you buy wet stuff if it were the same quality and strain minus the drying/curing process. Nothing magical here, just science. They are not misleading anyone but actually trying to help people from being mislead which is actually really cool of them and I will give them a nice rep for helping the community.

Some people do like their weed wet which is cool though. However they should be educated so they're not mislead. I know a couple older people with bad lungs and can't stand the harshness of stuff that is too dry. They only really like it wet. Not everyone has access to nicely cured stuff or has enough supply to cure it on their own. I try to help everyone get medical legally and grow their own to save money. It's an awesome hobby, my friends and I truly have a big passion for this. Long ways to go though, we're nothing like the people in Cali.

Also, Daturbuzz must not really be from Sacramento or moved because they say medical laws are new. Cali had them since '96.

If you have the same strain, same weight, same condition except moisture, the wet bud does have less THC. Pay for THC, not water. People I know that like it wet usually get a little extra to make up for the wet weight. Not everyone is cool like that though to make up for it. Some people the only way they can get it is wet cause they don't have enough sources.

Of course if you left your herb on the plant until all the trichomes ambered and degraded curing may not increase THC content but in the common harvesting practice drying and curing your buds does increase THC. If you wait too long (months) you may see THC decrease as it turns to CBD/cannabidiol
