Yeah. Just switched up my aircool to pull air from the outdoors and made some other fall adjustments..

I have officially decided, from now on, I shut down July 1st and setup September 1st. It's just not worth it. Even during a mild year like this one.

Bugs and temps are just too hard to control. The aphids this year were like nothing I had ever seen before. I had to wash the aphid secretion from my windshield every morning for weeks just to be able to see.

A 14,000 btu window unit cooled the room well, but the condensation gets so bad on the inside half of the unit. Mold was growing on and in the unit. I just threw it out and replaced it with a 10k unit since i know I will never be battling 100+ temps again. Not worth it to grow in July and August in the great state. At least in the structure I have to work with.

Did you ever clean the evap.Coil with Coil cleaner?I own a HVAC Bus. I ran 2 1tons 12,000 BTU,and also think its not worth it, When we get Temps over 100f for days on end.I run a very clean point of obsession, clean grow area and never have had any bug problems in over 10 yrs.

I'm not sure if I did it right. I just sprayed the aerosol. probably not often enough though. I've never taken one of the comes to it or anything. That helps with the condensation problem? That's good to know.

I work so damn much in the summer. I usually get more sloppy in the summer than other times of the year. Much free time in the winter though.

Yes if you use a good Acid wash,Mold tells me its very nasty.Did it not ever freeze up?I Always take mine out and clean very good,Just make sure not to get windings Wet and let dry very good before putting back and turning it on.Dont know if your MTRS are sealed But do not get the windings wet are you will fry MTR.

No, it never froze up. I had heavy condensation on the housing (inside the room) and on the vents. I think the unit was not draining well and was evaporating much of the moisture rather than draining out of the back. I cleaned as much of the drainage hole that i could access without removing the housing. I guess I was being a little lazy though. I don't know much about cooling equipment either.

I put the new ac at a stronger tilt this time. If it was in fact a drainage problem, that should help.

For a while I thought it was more of an issue of having a very hot environment border a very cool environmment, causing condensation.

It only really had the problem in the very hottest months. So, I won't be dealing with that anymore. My plan for July and August was like what you said, except no flowering. I'm going to use that time to clean the room up real well, do some zero tolerance pest maintenance, stuff like that.

One of the biggest misconceptions is a 110v is cheaper to run than a 220v.The 220 draws less amps therfore cheaper to run.
The removal of Humidity is what makes a space Conditioned,Humidity is heat. What makes it comfortable is letting a A/C unit
run long enough to remove Humdity,Not Dump a bunch of cold air in a space.Central units can pull over 5g a day of water from the
air here in TX.

@godwork that would be cool i would be down , but then agin it could be dangerous so idk if it's worth it. A friend of mine in Cali tells me him and his friends down there swap up clones of shit they have breed themselves, or they swap clone only stains like girl scout cookies and what not. But there in Cali, were in Ass hole Texas.

So I watched the weed nerd , and might make the super soil. In the meantime while waiting for it to activate I might switch to advanced nutrients all organic line. I have ran their synthetics which were cool I guess but know I'm thinking organic. Any body with some input?

Supersoil rules. No experience with AN -- I use Pure Blend at the moment when I need nutes.

Yeah my going all organic, watching vids doing research and I'm down with it. Talked to my old man, he never grew mj, but he has farmed a lot in his youth, has a good basic understanding of compost and farming techniques, told me I should have been doing this.
