The only thing not paying tithing does is stop you from getting a temple recommend. You don't go to Hell (we don't even believe in Hell) and you don't get kicked out of the church. If that were the case, half the members would be expunged.

There is no damnation. We don't have that kind of doctrine. There is no Hell in our religion or fire and brimstone or endless suffering. The only thing we have that even approaches Hell is a place we call Outer Darkness. This is the place where Satan his legions and the Sons of Perdition will reside after they are bound. The only way to be sent to Outer Darkness is to deny the Holy Ghost. Which is nigh impossible to do. Unless you know the doctrine it's hard to grasp certain concepts of our religion.

I do not fear the Mormons but disagree with what I am perceiving their leaders are doing. There was a Mormon guy back in the 70's who blackmailed the Mormons by making fake, old looking religious documents that would embarrass the church. He got paid off by the leaders who feared what his stuff would cause in doubts of the legitimacy of the church's origins. He also blew up a couple bombs and hurt some folks, but that is beside the point.

you should dig on some of the shenasnigans practiced by the catholics, the baptist comittees, and the lutherans and methodists. every christian religion has a similar method of doing business, of them all though mormons have the LEAST baggage of hate and violence, even if you ammortize the violence and bigotry over the life of the church, the cathoilics still have an insurmountable lead in hate. even "christian Identity" cant catch up to the catholics.
